WOW I am NOT a happy camper!!!

What I think happens a lot of times is that the line where you type in your confirmation number only allows the exact number of spaces for the confirmation number. No spaces between numbers. However, the confirmation email usually has at least 1 space in between numbers. So, what happens is that...

    No 4:00 entry for MNSSHP?

That's the way it was in the past. The point is this year they have changed the policy. Starting this year with MNSSHP if you only have a hard ticket then you don't get in until 7 pm. I've confirmed this with everyone I can that is even semi-reliable and it seems, yes, 7 pm if you have a hard...

How many times do you keep checking the weather report?

As a meteorologist I don't check the weather sites at all. I do my own forecasting. That said, just an FYI for you...Commercial sites like weather.com are pretty useless. They are totally automated and use only 1 model. No human interaction and no guidance from other models. That leaves a very...

    This Weekends Weather!

The main rain this weekend will be to the south of Orlando. WDW will deal with nothing more than pop up afternoon thunderstorms from the sea breeze. It won't be sustained, all-day thunderstorms and shouldn't impact the 4th of July activities.

Osborne Lights are set to start after Thanksgiving. I think it's Nov 29.

info needed!!! Last minute questions on Pop Century???

I would say the bus service at Pop is great once you get on it because you don't have to stop at another resort. The trade off is that Pop is a larger resort so sometimes there are bigger crowds/longer waits to get on the bus and they are often standing room only. The food court feels much...

    Help-online check in and POP

When I did my online check in for Pop 3 weeks ago there was a place to request things like cribs or a fridge, but no place to note room requests. As stated above, that has to go on your reservation.

    Rain?!

The reason for the heavy rain prediction is a tropical or hybrid low system that will move over FL in the next couple of days bringing a LOT of rain. Orlando needs it, though I know it'll be no fun if you're on vacation. Expect rain and windy conditions through Friday.

Crowd Report Last Week of April

I've been checking the times on the various rides. According to Touring Plans' criteria and the wait times I've written down actual crowd size has been in the 6-7 range this week as opposed to the 8-9 predicted (we arrived 5/2 and are still here). It's definitely been more crowded than normal...

    Crowds May 1-9??

Touringplans is the website companion to the Unofficial Guide. They do a crowd prediction blog and calendar. I've found mixed results with accuracy. Since the 4/3 promotion is going into the summer (which they NEVER give summer discounts) I would expect June to be more crowded than normal (like...

    going april 29-may 4th--crowd???

It looks like while late April/early May used to be a fairly quiet time it's definitely not the case this year. Touring Plans has a crowd level of 8-9 during that time frame.

Getting nervouse about our end of May Trip!

Memorial Day is the last weekend in May. It's the day the United States honors those who have given their lives in service to this country. It's also the unofficial "start of summer" for most in the USA. Lots of people take trips that weekend. May used to be quiet, but so did a lot of other...

    Dine with a imagineer

Did this last year and loved every second of it. I would definitely say it's more of an adult event, however. I brought my 8 yr old. He enjoyed it and they tried to include him, but you could tell it's definitely more geared towards adults. I think I'll do it again, but wait until my son is a...

Anyone ever gotten a PIN# Email??

It's definitely one of those random things. I had been signed up with Disney for 8+ years and just got my first pin code email in September, which we used for the "free" dining promotion in October.

Leaving in a few days, looking forward to....rain?

As MissM noted, this summer has been rainer than normal in FL. However, a fairly strong high pressure will be over FL tomorrow (Tuesday) through Friday resulting in slightly drier, warmer conditions. I would expect highs to be in the 91-93 range the rest of this week. Saturday through Monday the...

Anyone been there during a hurricane?

In the history of WDW it's only been closed 5 days, so I wouldn't concern yourself with the hurricane. Also, the chances of Bertha actually hitting WDW are extremely slim (less than 3%). However, getting out of North Carolina could be another story. While I think it's pretty unlikely Bertha hits...

    Osbourne Lights Rumor

As a moderator at Intercot, I can tell you that all the info we post is straight from Disney. That doesn't mean the info won't change, just that the November 28 date is what Disney has given us for now. It does seem odd, however, as it's started much earlier the few years and MVMCP starts on Nov 10.

    Big Thunder Mountain RR Merchandise

They do have a BTMRR toy train in the 4 pack with Dinosaur, Mission Space, and something else. That's fairly new. They also used to have a larger toy that was on its own. Didn't see that one last Nov.
