Should the refillable mugs be available throughout WDW? Poll

In addition to the abuse where a whole family shares one mug, I can see another problem: It's well-established that people value something more when they pay for it. In an "unlimited mug refill all parks" scenario, I can see people filling-up with their "free soda" when they might only want a...

How busy is WDW during Thanksgiving

So crowded you'll hate the Pilgrims for inventing Thanksgiving.

Do you like the new TTA narration?

Well said. Completely agree. I've heard more exciting pre-recorded spiels on Greyhound bus tours. They have swapped a fun backstory for a commercial. Free Tom Morrow!!

If you had to skip one park on your trip, which would it be?

Don't understand the hate for AK. For us it would be a 2-day park even if it didn't have a single ride at all (OK, at least Safari). It is, after all, the ANIMAL Kingdom, not the How-Many-Thrill-Rides-Are-Hidden-Behind-Those-Trees Kingdom.

    More food service changes

What's the plan for guests who keep Kosher (or Halal for that matter)? Obviously pork/chicken dogs unacceptable.

Correct Contact Info for Kingdom Konsultants?

Is the correct e-mail address for Kingdom Konsultants "...@KingdomKonsultant.com" or ...@KingdonKonsultants.com? Their website doesn't use the "s" but their banner ad does. I sent them an e-mail late last week concerning a question on very early planning for a trip, and haven't heard back. Not...

Numbers in top of Cinderella Castle?

Actually, Stitch is closer to 666 IMO.

How do you feel about the Marvel acquisition?

Completely agree. Marvel characters are typically dark, brooding, and violent. Yes, I know about the witches, totally different. Couldn't be less Disney. I understand the need to get the young male audience, but how these characters could be integrated into anything EXCEPT the Studios is beyond...

    Disney discontinuing resort specific merchandise.

Maybe it's just me, but my treasured resort-specific merchandise -- Beach Club mug, AKL merchandise, various resort refrigerator magnets, towels -- are like little Disney flashing signs, Disney ads that catch my eye whenever I open a cabinet door or closet: Wouldn't it be nice to go back? How...

If you could choose 1 or 2 words to describe your feelings of each park

MK: Contented sigh . . . Epcot: Big smile AK: Oh wow! DHS: Meh . . .

    What's Concierge Level Like Lately?

Three years ago we did concierge / club level at Beach Club and Animal Kingdom Lodge. Liked it, but thought offerings at Beach were a tad thin for the upgraded cost. With so many WDW corners being cut lately, and looking at another trip in the next year, we were wondering about anyone's newer...

    Online Check-in Question

Dunno, I've always looked forward to a warm, in-person welcome during the check-in process, a pleasant conversation being the beginning of the "magic." Going the on-line route just seems so mechanical. But maybe I'm just old.

Why is the Haunted Mansion such a favorite and beloved attraction at the MK???

What everyone else said. Plus, they haven't tried to put Stitch in it. This is one attraction where I wish there would be MORE souvenier merchandise, not the relatively little they have.

Alas, the Field Guide to the Studios . . .

Amazon just notified me that this has now been moved to an August 2010 delivery date - moved from June 2009. Would be worth the wait if it means that neither the cover nor the Park would have the BAH anymore. Maybe there's hope . . .

    Field Guide to the Studios?

This was due some weeks ago per Amazon, and has since been postponed twice from what Amazon tells me. Most recent anticipated ship date was late June. However, I saw somewhere that Borders was tellings its customers that it was a year off. Any news as to what's going on with the Studios Field Guide?

East Coast hated Mr. Toad and Loves Pooh?

Plus, there are lots of kid-friendly Pooh books out there. I'm guessing "Wind In the Willows" (source of the Toad story) isn't widely read in this dumbed-down world of ours. Lots more Pooh merchandise, too.

How do you really feel about Stich?

Idiotic, charmless, the most un-Disney of the Disney characters, loathsome, and forced onto every guest browsing merchandise, pins, or anything else into which his image has been imposed. The absolute end was the "Steamboat Willie" pin, featuring Stitch. Unimaginable why they think the Stitch...

    Least favorite disney park

The Studios, absolutely. Shell of its former self, not what it was and still struggling with what it wants to be. Love the theming of the "Hollywood that never was," but that's what the Studios have become for us - pretty much just a facade. And as much as I'd like to see the BAH go, that alone...

How much time to you "really" spend at the resorts?

We're fortunate enough to be able to stay deluxe when we go, and we feel it's worth it for several reasons. We usually split our stays between Beach Club and AKL. Being able to "walk home" to BC from our Epcot and Studios days is great, and with the great pool at Yacht and Beach, we do try a...

    Best Disney Guide Book?

If you're anything close to a "theme park commando," the Unofficial Guide is the way to go. Endless source of info, but you have to be willing to deal with its length. Before every trip we get the latest Unofficial Guide, but we also get a Birnbaum's as much for tradition as anything else - more...
