Masks and Social Distancing Go Away in WDW

I did it in Texas in July and August when it was 100 degrees and 100% humidity

Canceled part of a package- can we still use Fastpass?

Ok - my aunt and cousin were set to go on our trip with us next week. We all booked our package together and where sharing a room. He had emergency heart surgery this week and so they can’t go. They have cancelled their tickets and dinning plan. My daughter and mom and I still have the room and...

Really wet MK 8/18 with power outages

I'm just going out on a limb here, but think the parks flood because they were built in a swamp.

Spirited News, Observations & Thoughts IV

I don't know, half the time I hop from one park to the next it's because I have dinner reservations or I want to see the fireworks or the parade. If I ride a ride while I'm in that park great - if not oh well. I'm not a fan of pre-planing FPs, but I certainly don't see this killing park hoping.

Official "Let the Memories Begin" Poll

I agree with most this. The concept is fine, but I don't like what they are doing with it. The family photos on the castle are just lame. I'm not torn up about the lack of 40th mention. I don't remember a big celebration for DL's 40th - but I'm young, did I just miss it? If WDW's 50th comes...

'Let the Memories Begin' castle projection test video

Count me as another person who is not into the family pictures, but everything else was cool. Honestly though, I can live with the pictures, but what is with that huge white screen? Take that off so we can see the castle! I hope its something they can bring out just at night because if it...

Should the Country Bear Jamboree be replaced???

I don't mind the concept of CBR, I just think its poorly done. Like others have said, its in some serious need of TLC. The audio and the old AA really take away from the show and reminds me more of Chucky Cheese than anything Disney.

    Ddp

Yeah, we do the DDP when my mom travels with us because she likes it (and we do eat at TS places a lot), but it drives me nuts. Like you said, some places are better than others. We get drinks and apps that aren't on the plan and always pay cash for those because its easier. I just put the...

Its not Florida , Its Disney!

I say Disney because if I say Florida people almost always follow-up with "where in Florida". But yeah, if I say Disney they always just assume I mean Disney World.

Getting my daughter excited about our trip

My daughter is 11 and she said the same thing to me on our last trip. She's been every year since she was four and said that she had "done everthing already." I just kind of ignored it really and once we got there she realized that she could either be an active participent or be dragged to...

    TSM Troubles

I think you hit the nail on the head with this post. DHS is a half day park for me (if that) and its only because there hasn't been enough change in the park over the last 20 years. If Disney were to add another family attraction and updated at least one of their long running shows, you would...

Your thoughts on the Poly...Is it worth it?

I've stayed at the Poly many times and love it. I think the outdated and rundown thing comes mostly from the color sceam. Its done in that 1970s dark brown and I don't think that can ever look current, but the Poly is still my favorite monorail resort. The beach gives it a great layed back...

    good/great italian?

I totally get what you mean, some geographical locations in the U.S. just do certain foods better than others. I am always left scratching my head when I hear people from the North say that San Angelo's has great Mexican food.

Why no character meal geared toward boys?

Yes, years ago the 1900 Park Fair had a villains meal that wasn't that popular. I think it was a weird fit of dark characters in a light, Victorian setting. Also, a lot of younger kids are afraid of the villians so I can't imagine wanting to take your pre-schooler to a meal where they were going...

    good/great italian?

I'm from Texas, but I'll agree with the New Yorkers that there really isn't a great Italian food place in Disney World. I would say most of the Disney's Italin offerings are on par with the Olive Garden (and if you are talking about Tony's, I think that is being generous).

We are going to Disney World and

To the OP, as long as you make sure your children never speak or make eye contact with me I'll be fine. Really, its when people engage their children in conversation and I have to hear their high pitched voices that I start to have a problem. In all seriousness though, great post...

I have a Bone to pick

It would not be illegal for Disney to require a person to produce a doctor's note before allowing them to rent one their privately owned wheel chair. HIPPA only protects a patient from unautherized people examining their medical records. HIPPA does not protect a patient from willing sharing...
