what are the crowds like in mid july at the parks?

We've always gone in July and honestly never really are phased by the crowds. I never realized how crowded it was until we went in February this year! But, it's definitely doable!

    CM Games?

When we were at MK, we met Gaston outside of the tavern (with a HUGE line- he's in high demand!). We found that if we quoted the song from the movie (ex. - "I see you have biceps to spare...", etc) he immediately started making other comments in regards to the lines from the song. Probably...

    Disney outfits for boys?

When we were down in February there was a cute child near us on line to see the princesses wearing this. It was a huge hit with the princesses! Great photo op and the cast members were DYING over how cute he looked!

What's the most surprising thing you've seen at Disney

On our last trip, this woman walking in front of turned around and started screaming about a woman that punched her in the ear. Turns out this crazy older woman (60s-70s) walked right up to her, took off her flip flops, and smacked her in the ear. We walked away as Disney cops came up just so we...

Is it Really ' That Good"?????

It's a great sandwich, coming from a picky eater! It's not too expensive, a good taste and a great option for QS!

Our resort only 1 night, no wait, 1 night 1 park, no wait, 2 night 1 park, no wait 2 park 2 night...

Beginning of the day works... but so does the end! We went to Belle at 10ish after Wishes and there was a 5 minute wait! Plus, the line for LM was so short that we walked right on and had the entire ride to ourselves! Which worked out well, cause we were singing along the whole time to the empty...

Ideas at WDW that made you go "I want to do that one day!"

It's not the most "fun," but we got great pictures out of it when we did it on our last trip! We stayed until closing (11:00) riding the rides in Fantasyland, and walked towards the front of the castle, where we were the only ones left to take pictures with one of the Photopass photographers! We...

    Rain and Storms at WDW

We normally stay at our home base resort in Orlando for two weeks, so we try to pick the days with the least chance of rain. However, I love that it kicks away the crowds (even in the summer!) and Epcot is one of the best parks for it! We normally don't watch all the movies in each country, but...

Is it all about the rides?

For me, every park can be an "all day park" just by soaking in the atmosphere! I love rides, and we do get on each ride at least once during our trip, but seeing the shows, meeting characters, photographing the scenery and admiring the theming is definitely just as fun!

It's the first day of your WDW vacation...

We normally eat lunch at the hotel, hang by the pool for a few hours, then hit the monorail before heading to Downtown Disney! Getting a glimpse of the castle and Epcot is a tease, but it gets us SO excited for our first day in the parks!

    The Magic Kingdom Challenge

We've come close when my family goes. But honestly, there are some things I would gladly pass on in order to see my favorite rides a few times/meet my favorite characters during the day!

Has anyone ever had to tell a little white lie about their trip to WDW?

Ouch! We have to take EVERYTHING down (posters, backing paper, clear the bookshelves) but as long as we don't have anything small on the floor, the janitors move everything when they rewax the floors. My mom's school is doing major renovations and she has to repack everything that she moved from...

Has anyone ever had to tell a little white lie about their trip to WDW?

So true. I'm a teacher, and you wouldn't believe how many people tell me I have an "easy job" since I get summers off. I stay at school until 5 each day, grade papers & make plans for 3 hours after that, and then spend at least 5 hours on the weekend doing grading. I also run 3 clubs during the...

    Most Magical

So many favorites! But a recent one was during the Year of a Million Dreams. I was on vacation with friends, and we did EMH at MK in the morning. We rushed to Big Thunder Mountain as soon as we could, and were first on the ride. As we got off, we were all handed Full Day Fast Passes for the Park!

Misunderstanding of things as a child.

So many of these stories sound SO familiar to our family! Until I visited WDW at age 16 I had NEVER been on Haunted Mansion. I was convinced that it was a real haunted house and that I'd be terrified, which was not my idea of Disney! When I finally went on at age 16 I was so embarrassed that I...

    Disney Vacation Traditions

We have a couple, some brand new that we're going to start & others that have been around forever! 1. Get an ice cream each day at the park- no matter the weather! 2. Buy an ornament each trip- I almost have a full tree just with my Disney ornaments! 3. Watch the Electric Water Pageant at...

    Disney Vacation Traditions

Disney's Days of Christmas is my favorite, in DTD! I also love going to the stores in each country at Epcot to look- they sometimes have really cute ones there! Mouse Gear also has some good Epcot themed ones- I just got a really cute one of the Spaceship Earth building with flags for each...

Your Favourite Park For Those Character Meet & Greets.

I love Epcot for meet & greets- great locations with a beautiful background, and I love that they try to fit characters per country! But, for ease of M&G, I also like AK. The Camp Minnie Mickey area wasn't crowded at all, and a few weeks ago we got great shots with each character! We were able...

A vacation for your WDW vacation!

So true! We went in mid-February, and when we got on POTC, you could hear a kid's screams echoing through the entire queue. When we got towards the entrance there was a dad with a kid who just wanted NOTHING to do with another ride, and you could see he was definitely worn out. That's when a fun...
