Oh gosh, so many to choose!!!

Aside from seeing my girls' faces as we took that boat ride over from WL and they saw the castle for the first time, and pulling off the big surprise trip in 2011, my favorite was the cake reveal for DD6's 5th birthday.

It was a suprise trip jam packed with surprises, but my fave came on her bday morning. We had an early breakfast at Chef Mickey's and little did she know, but the Belle cake sketch she'd seen was not for her friend...but for her.:) As the napkin waving started, our server brought out the cake and needless to say...DD6 was shocked...happy shocked. Now, they always make it very clear that the characters won't be able to come around to help you sing Happy Birthday or anything like that, but Minnie skipped out on napkin waving to help with the birthday festivites. We thought she was just going to walk by waving her napkin, but she walked up and stayed with us until the candles had been blown out. I think I was just as shocked as DD6 was in this picture. She even came back for her official pictures and M&G time once it was our turn in her rotation.

Age 3: Boys were sung to by the guy in Rafiki's Planet Watch. He plays guitar and makes up his songs according to the names. Cool. Does anyone know his name? I forget. They were able to be train conductors. Free treats from the ladies making candy @ DHS. Year of a Million Dreams Mickey ears given to us.:)
Age 4: Got stuck on TT ( their 1st ride), My one fellow was scared to ride again. They took him into the control room to show him how it worked, then he rode it 2 times through.:)
Age 7: Had to evacuate TT line. Went over to MS. Told the CMs what had happened. They took us to the control room. We signed a notebook and played w/ the buttons, then were VIP escorted onto the ride!:D

So many favorites! But a recent one was during the Year of a Million Dreams. I was on vacation with friends, and we did EMH at MK in the morning. We rushed to Big Thunder Mountain as soon as we could, and were first on the ride. As we got off, we were all handed Full Day Fast Passes for the Park!

One thing that I have been doing since the first trip with my kids is every afternoon we take a little break and get a pretzel or ice cream sit down on a bench. I then get out my camcorder And I record a little ten or fifteen minute talk we have about what they liked about the day or what they really want to do more of. They think nothing of it but what I am really doing is creating a video time capsule of them growing up at Disney. You would be surprised how kids see Disney and what they want to talk about that stood out to them that day. Now I have been doing this since 2005 and then editing these talks from every year onto one ongoing CD. When I watch the talks from the first trip till the last trip I always get a smile on my face. The little talk time video time capsule is just my thing that I do. It is my personal magical trip through the eyes of my two boys as the grow up and visit Disney. One day if the have thier own families and want to take thier kids to Disney I will give them a copy of our Disney talk times.

I don't even have to think twice. It's very bitter sweet, more bitter for obvious reasons. our beloved yorkshire terrier, Minnie, passed away suddenly at the age of 11, the day after the tragedy, Me, my mom, and my stepfather, determined that we weren't going to be able to stay in the house as it was too painful. We decided "let's go to florida." Thanks to some wonderful cast members, we were able to get a reservation on short notice that very day for 4 days. Long story short, our last day there, we were eating lunch at crystal palace when my Mom started crying. (We had all had random crying episodes during this span.) Tigger came over, and he threw my stepdad on top of my mom, then he dragged me on top of my parents and then he was on top of me, and it was a huge hug. It was the first time in almost a week that the 3 of us started laughing.

Looking back on it, it's just amazing that Disney was able to get a smile out of us just a few days after such a painful event.
