    DHS Aerial View

Wow, that escalated quickly on the last page.. Remember, Sid's house was over the fence in the first Toy Story. So they did see things on the other side of the fence like other buildings.. but not parking garages.

Pandora will create 1,500 jobs (video)

Apartment Finder seems to say $700+ for a 2-bedroom, $800+ for a 3-bedroom. Those are the cheapest and only goes up from there. That's what I paid for an apartment almost 10 years ago in the midwest. Doesn't seem so bad?

We've seen Disney also move security checkpoints to the monorail resorts. I'd imagine you can expect the same thing with those getting on the gondolas. Once you're on, you've been cleared. Yet another way to differentiate versus how 'magical' that experience is elsewhere.

Very neat paper you posted. I thought this intermediary station was interesting as it could serve some purposes shown in previous conversation.

We easily forget everything that had to be removed from the area before any real work could begin.

Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Dinorama is meant to look like a carnival. A great deal of effort went into making it look that way. In movies there are scenes that not everyone likes, just the same in the parks. As for the $200 million figure.. they had to have been doing imagineering work on concepts in the background...

Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

We really need to be careful to place A.S.S. in the right place. We'll all be doomed if we dont. Can we really come up with a better acronym for this ride?:banghead: :hilarious:

Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I know that my wife would say the exact opposite. She has no desire to watch any of the Star Wars films, it was difficult to drag her on to Star Tours even. This said, the obvious reason for TSL is something new at DHS that precisely isn't SWL.

    Conveyor installation and earth moving

I'm not sure the direction that the creek there flows, they may have finished a portion of it early to provide some quick overflow protection while they fill in the swamp to the south of the park. All the dirt from it appears to be in one BIG pile with several smaller ones at the very south...

I'm not 100% certain on Everest, but starting about 12:30 in this video provides a good idea: Edit: Actually, through 16 minutes it's 100% explained. Ha! So I bet they're doing this the same way but the cranes will help

    AVATAR land construction progress

Tower cranes are fairly fixed in how far they can reach with loads. They also prevent other large and mobile cranes from working in close vicinity and would be difficult to use when affixing all the different sized pieces that make up the non-uniform mountain shapes. Combining both approaches...

    WDW IT Layoffs 1/30/2015

We've always phrased it as what is the business or reputation cost if something stops working? How many days could the company operate without a competent IT staff. The answer has always been not very long.

    Magic Kingdom 50th Anniversary Plans

MerlinTheGoat had mentioned a different method that had talked about re-doing the northern part of Tom Sawyer Island. While adding the new land area behind BTMR would not impact current things, it's way out of the way and would result in walkways like between Peter Pan and Small World. I could...
