IMO (including my family), the replacement scene, at least the story line, is nowhere near as good as the old one, so all of these changes continue to diminish the typical characteristics of what many perceive as “Pirates”. But at least the quality of the apparel matches the quality of the ride.

I guess I'm a little confused. If she couldn't go on that ride, she would still be able to "Change the Experience" to a different ride that she could go on. The option to "Change Party" not being available wouldn't benefit her anyway. That was to allow, for instance, you to take her place...

This is true technically because it was in Kansas City, Missouri but only about a mile from the border. Most refer to Kansas City being in Kansas mostly due to the name.
