Body Wars Removed, WOL Closed Forever

I want a Weather or a Time pavillion (shoot, or both).

Either of which could fit magnificently in the WoL architecture.

First off - Test Track has been repaved several times since it open, so that's not totally true. Admittedly, its not had a long rehab.

But, this long rehab has the pavilion sporting a crane - since when does a simple fix-up require a crane?

that crane is there to help remove cars from the tracks. Several of them are sitting on the back lot and are getting hauled off by fork lifts. they do seem to be in prety bad shape.

I have said before that this is a major rehab. There are building materials scattered allover the back lot behind the building. I dont' know exactly what they are doing in there since it is not my department. But judging by the activity i can see from backstage. I'm not sure it will be reopened on it's schedueld time

Test Track usually has vehicles all over the place backstage - they ride on little carts across a pseudo track thingy to the maintenance shack.

More vehicles than fit on those little wagons are bein taken off?

Perhaps my idea that the cars themselves need a new body style is being done...?

They should make a pavilion...with an extreme thrill ride and a family attraction. An "over-the-counter" drug company should sponsor it (Say, Advil) and the ride should purposely get people sick...and then they can showcase how well their product works!

(yes, I'm kidding)

Lee? Corrus? Chuck Norris? Any thoughts?

Chuck Norris as the host for an updated Universe of Energy. He can demonstrate how the world's energy can be measured in roundhouse kicks. :lookaroun

why is it so hard to belive that it could be removed in 3 weeks.. you can move more than 8 feet per day -- i be it you really know what you are doing -- you could have all the vehicles out overnight....

Forget WoL fix SSE first.

I just want them to concentrate on SSE. Not only is it my sentimental favorite, but SSE sits at the front of Epcot and I think it is bad show that all the cool old stuff at the end has been boarded over and not replaced. WoL is back by itself so hopefully not every guest that comes through Epcot will notice that it is closed and dilapidated. I'm sure alot more guests notice that SSE is in disarray due to its location and notoriety, so common sense would say to fix it first. :hammer:

My bad. I never used to follow these things with such zeal before I joined lol.... The CM outside said it was just maintenance, and that it hadn't been down before. oh well, another reason to always take what CMs say with a grain of salt. Oh, and the event was just in the building, not BW.

...only if you weren't interested in keeping them.

Demolition is quick and dirty. Relocation is anything but.

HAHA.

Actually, I was thinking that Chuck Norris could be the first person to show us that energy can actually be destroyed.

"I made a map of FW with the years of pavilion openings and major renovation completions since the park first opened." Hence, I put [March 17] 1999, the opening date of TT. Why would I put 1997 if that wasn't the opening date? It might have been intended, but.... it didn't happen.:lookaroun

no....it did not happen, but it give a better idea of renovation timeframes.....

I currently have a friend working at EPCOT. He has just updated me on the state of Epcot.

Body Wars has been completly removed, WOL will never reopen. A new attraction is planned for 2007/8, during which UoE will be replaced.

Yay! :sohappy: :sohappy:

It's about time they started to gut WoL! :sohappy: :sohappy:

I think you're the one who needs to drop the attitude. I was letting you know that if I made a map pertaining to reopenings of pavilions with changes, than that was what I was depicting. I understand you want the timeframes of the renovation on my map, but I'm sorry to say that's not what I intended originally. I have a good idea though, you could make a map showing that! Good luck!
