For those that joined D23 I have a question. Was your membership card paper or did they atleast print them on the same plastic they print the hotel room keys on
They are textured plastic. So almost like the room keys.

Also, I recieved a small white D23 window decal with my magazine & certificate. That was a nice suprise.:)

Well, it's not a big statue, but it covers the expense (to me, the mag IS what it says it's worth). I LOVE these lithographs, I can't wait for another!

Is that the same lithograph thats in the One Man's Dream display? No...not a fan. Thank you for posting it. I hope all that bought the membership is happy with gift. I just don't have the wallspace to hang another lithograph, nor is it one I would buy if it was for sale in the Art of Disney.

Am I the ONLY one who noticed Tom Servo on the MST3K VHS in the top left hand corner of the picture? I'd rather have that then the lame poster. That and some over priced mag with recycled recipes and dull articles for $75 before everything else? No way.
No, I noticed Servo too and was thinking the same thing. :)

there's a lot of negativity on this thread for something that no-one has been forced to do.

Are you 23? No? Okay then.

Are you bitter? some of you are coming across that way.

I wouldn't say bitter.... I would say they are disappointed in the offereings.. They all have their own reason to be disappointed.... Whether we agree with them or not...

EDIT: Found it!

OK, here it is, with some spoiler space. Please excuse the slightly grainy cell phone image.
"Putting a Smile on the World" created for Mickey's 80th

Haha! Servo all the way.
:D

I don't like the painting. It looks like he's saying "Well Gosh, if America fired the Nukes first!"

Heading for the great escape.
I dont give a *£"^, about D23 per say, it wasnt for me. But in terms of a business interacting with its fan base it doesnt exactly overwhelm either.

And I like bitter, providing its real ale.

I am surprised that more of the fanbois here aren't familiar with or don't subscribe to Tales From the Laughing Place.

Anyone who likes the D23 fanzine would likely wet themselves after reading a copy of Tales.

~Not 23 ... anymore~
