American Idol: Season 7!!

Not a huge surprise to me. I like how the eliminated aren't singing after being eliminated, but why can't they go back and not end the show with the montage? After an hour of mostly filler, don't end it like that.

Also does anyone else remember "Celebrate Me Home" from the old Disney Channel commercials? That took me back a few years

Hooray! Hotness prevails again. :D Oh well, I'm giving her ONE more chance to prove herself next week but if she doesn't, she's gone.

And yeah, Hernandez deserved to go. I think the controversy was the thing that mostly did him in.

Well, I thought she did very well last week. That was the proper way to redo a song with a country twist. This week she did a complete 180.:hurl:

I'm not sure it was, or he would have been gone last week

Last night was an off night for him. I would have liked to have seen him stick around longer, because I do think he is very talented, but he definitely blew it. And Kristy lucked out.

Absolutely terrible. This could easily be a jump the shark moment for any other show. I seriously doubt this segment will last long. Yes please bring back 30 minute shows. Otherwise, I'll more than likely stop watching results shows.
A new all time low!!!
I'd rather watch the Osmonds..........
I'm done with the results show.

She may have a pretty face but when she sings she is always like in a lunge position and in my opinion it is very unattractive. She needs to just stand up straight.

Is it 5:00 yet?

My thoughts exactly...

The bottom three was no surprise, and the boot was no real surprise, either. As imagineer boy so eloquently put it, hotness did in fact prevail. How long will her male fans put up with lousy performances? I'm thinking another couple of weeks.

What a complete train wreck of a show. Overlong and loaded with crap. The Beatles medley was awful and the bottom three performances were as horrific as they had been the night before.

I still can't get over Chikezie's performance on Tuesday. Easily the best of the bunch. I'm not sure how/if he'll be able to top that.

So true...

Can they stop the terrible medleys? That was abysmal, and I'm hoping poor Paul was too busy with his divorce proceedings to watch; it wouldn't have helped his day at all to hear his songs being mangled.

I'm wondering about those phone calls....how could someone in LA have called in live on the East Coast? LA doesn't see Idol until 3 hours later :veryconfu I don't know...not only was it a jumping the shark moment, it seemed pretty staged.

I think that Kristy may be the new Sanjaya (perhaps it was an omen that he was there?). People will vote for her because they think she's hot (she seems pretty plain to me...although I am a female ) and because she stinks.

The call in thing was set up by producers on the web site. I'm sure it's like a radio call in for a contest. They tell you to call back at a specific time, you don't call, you don't get on.

Thanks...I was flipping between AI and something else (how weird that I can't remember! Oh well..) and I flipped back when they were already talking to someone, so I missed the explanation.

Still lame, though

Paula:

YOU LOOK PRETTY TONIGHT!!!

There is no turning back after she says you look pretty.

That's basically like saying -- Here's the absolute best I have to offer you tonight. The funny part is that they EAT IT UP!!!! Cracks me up every episode. AVOIDING COMMENTING ON YOUR SINGING ISN'T A SUPPOSED TO BE FLATTERING.

so the Beatles have never been sung on Idol until this year. Then it is decided that there will be two weeks of Idol.

This week Paul has to pay his ex wife 48 million on the divorce settlement.

Does anyone see the connection :lookaroun

I gotta admit....Wonder Boy nailed "The Long and Winding Road".

I thought Syesha was horrible tonight...and the judges loved it. I guess I missed that one.

And, as usual, one-dimensional Amanda was awful. :hurl:

Amanda, Kristy Lee, Michael, Brooke, Carly, Jason, Chikezie, Ramiele: Dreck.

Syesha: Passable.

David & David: Welcome to the Boomtown. These guys made such a succulent sound. (I know it isn't 80's week, but I couldn't resist.)

Chikezie should have done "Oh, Darling". Instead, he's headed home.
