Still not over Kat McPhee, huh? :ROFLOL:

Well she's going to be on tonight so make sure to watch. My two favorites on the show will have performed very close together: McPhee and Blake Lewis. Both also had wonderful first albums that unfortunately went under the radar.

Kristy yes.......

But Chikeze:shrug: I thought he did well last night.

I think David H stunk up the joint.
Well I am only basing that off of the fact that he has almost gone home more than once even though he did alright with his performance. At this point unfortunately it is more of a popularity contest than a singing competition.

Sorry but I think Jason Castro is amazing.

I also enjoyed Carly, David Cook, and I even thought Amanda did well. I liked her take on the song surprisingly.
Although Michael Johns performance was very forgettable, this is the first time I have enjoyed his singing. Perhaps its because Across the Universe is an amazing song. I thought he sang well. But I don't think he is doing much to stand out.

I fast forwarded thru a good chunk from DVR, but I really liked Carly, Chikeze (surprisingly) and Brooke. Amanda, the Irish guy and Jason Castro were good. I think Kristy bought herself a ticket home with last nite's performance. :hurl: You don't country the Beatles. And if you DO...sing it better than that...:lookaroun

Not so much her as Taylor Hicks (Daughtry should have won hands down in retrospect). I think I only truly enjoyed Season 4, and that was because of Carrie. Now, I look at it, and think, "this is the best America has to offer?" And the answer is no. I fastforwarded through most of last night (thanks Tivo), and the stuff I did hear was terrible. I cannot believe they let Kristy do what she did last night...seriously. That was not country, that was the stereotype of country, and terrible too! And everytime I see David Archuletta, I want to vomit...he's way too pageanty, and the way he and the producers play America is sick.

I'm just tired of Idol. The whole audition process, hollywood week (which only lasts one episode:shrug:), and the show...just terrible.

Last night, I deleted the episode, gave Idol a 3thumbs down Tivo rating, and canceled my season pass on Tivo. I'm Idol free!:sohappy:

I think that maybe, I'm just over reality TV. I still watch Big Brother and Survivor and I'll watch Hell's Kitchen and enjoy them, but that's it. Give me the Office (which I've gotten hooked on since TBS started running reruns), The Colbert Report, Dirt, nip/tuck, Rescue Me, the Riches, and the History Channel over any reality show.:snore:

/end rant

So, one more :brick:for Kristy last night. What in the world was she thinking?

I like lots of different types of music, country being one of them, but the moment that song started last night I knew it was a disaster. Wow.

My favorite performances last night were David C., and Carly.

Me thinks we've seen the last of Ms. Kristy...

You know what's funny? I'm a country fan, myself. I love country music and Carrie Underwood is one of my favorite artists on the radio right now...but what Kristy did to that song last night was just awful. (And as I said, I love country!)

It was way too manic and the song didn't fit the music at all. It was a trainwreck from the beginning. Absolutely a nightmare.

Not to mention she couldn't even keep up with the song.:dazzle:

If you're gonna change up a Beatles' song you better be sure of the results.
And if you're gonna do country, be true to it.
That was a total mess.

I don't know what's up with Kristy. She had the best voice, imo, during auditions. Ever since then, she hasn't been good.

I guess she can't sing with a band...
