When I was on the Wonder, I used to escort the Make a Wish Kids and their families to the front of the theatre for the finale show, Disney Dreams. By the end of it, the kids were loving it and the parents were all in tears! I had to hold it back and show a happy face... definately worth...

Probably only the Magic, as seven day cruises (or longer) are generally too long for most small scale conferences. The Wonder, with its shorter itineraries, is more suitable for a conference. Even in saying that, the conference rooms are usually empty and are used by crew for meetings etc...

It's not an official Formal Night, but there's a set menu in all three main restaurants and people do dress up. You end up with a mix- some people in tuxedos and some in shorts! My recommendation is to book Palo, if you want a more formal 'classy' experience for the evening. Arrive early...

The room rates for AKL seem much lower than the other Deluxe Resorts. AKL always shows up as the cheapest on both the UK and US Disney sites. Does anyone know why this is?

They usually have big deck parties in the evening, with a countdown at midnight. In addition, they usually have a Gala Meal in all the restaurants. They have smaller events in some of the bars, but mostly the attention is focussed on the main Deck Party, with fireworks (weather permitting)...

Yeah, this is a really good service. A (very nice) lady from WDW goes on board the ships on every Port Canaveral day, to make up the gift baskets and flower arrangements (I hope she's still there!). Then Housekeeping deliver them to the rooms before the guests arrive. I never dealt with one...

And yet, they make it really difficult (virtually impossible) for well qualified, Disney-loving foreign candidates to work there on a permanent basis.
