Is it time for a new Disney?

Having just taken our first extended trip to the World with no children, I can safely assure you that the parks still have tremendous appeal to those over 40, with no children attached to us. Keep adding attractions like Toy Story Midway Mania and the world will continue to by our Happy Place...

Scariest memory in Walt Disney World?

Easy - my parents took me and my sister to the Magic Kingdom shortly after the Grand Opening (I think it was in the spring of 1972). We got stuck on It's A Small World for about 30 minutes. It was very traumatic for me :hammer:and I didn't go on that attraction for about 20 years. I've...

    Disney Cruise Line...Seasick?

Took our first DCL four night cruise last summer. I was very concerned about getting seasick. I used these wristbands that put pressure on a point on the wrist that supresses nausea. Worked perfectly for me. We had one night of bad weather (not as bad as a hurricane, but a lot of rain and...

Question about parks closing when they reach full capacity

Interesting since EPCOT is the one park reportedly which has never reached capacity. We were there for New Year's Eve two years ago, and entered the park at 6:00PM.

    Wishes or HalloWishes?

Just joining in to say Hallowishes is NOT trimmed down. At least it wasn't last Thursday night. The perimeter fireworks were outstanding. And I like the music, too!

What Ride Is The Most Disappointing...

OK - a bit west of WDW Most disappointing ride (for me).... Nemo Subs in Disneyland. After all the hype, and the HUGE queue lines (3 hours - you gotta be kidding), it didn't live up. Fortunately (for me) I got there at an EE park opening, so it ONLY took 30 minutes to get into the "sub".

    Early Entry Day

And, at least on Tuesday, EVERYONE ran to Nemo. Why? I'm not too sure (after riding it). Flame suit on. :goodnevil The rest of the park was reasonably empty, so after waiting far to long (at 7AM) we were able to do everything we wanted to do in Fantasyland.

    Park opening at Disneyland?

Having just returned from our first trip to DL (we go to WDW 4-5 times a year), they do NOT have an opening ceremony like they do at WDW. On Monday we were there at 8AM, and there was one guy counting down. On Tuesday we took advantage of EE, and at 7AM there was not even a countdown.

Thinking about my first Deluxe vacation

Location, location, location... If you want to be near Epcot, like we do, then the Yacht or Beach Club are fantastic. If you want to be on the Monorail, we love Poly. And WL is our overall favorite...

Best way to get to the BW from the Pop?

I know you specifically asked about the buses, but a cab may be the quickest - by far... If not, follow the earlier suggestion and take a bus to the Studios, then walk over to the launch. Or walk the path from the Studios back over to the BW. It's about a 15-20 minute walk.

Where can you enter in the back of Epcot?

Location says Northern Ireland, so yes, you can walk to the International Entrance, but it is a long walk.

    Night Of Joy

The Nights of Joy are the same weekend as the Family Pin Trading Event at EPCOT. To say that the TTC and MK are a zoo would be an understatement. A lot of unsupervised kids running around. I'm sure the music is wonderful. But don't expect a nice, quiet, civilized evening.
