Toy Story Hotel Planned to replace Paradise Pier Hotel?

Man, this site really needs a sarcasm filter.

Toy Story Hotel Planned to replace Paradise Pier Hotel?

So, a piece of pre-pandemic concept art surfaces, and suddenly everyone hates all things Toy Story. Honestly, this site never ceases to amuse me.

Toy Story Hotel Planned to replace Paradise Pier Hotel?

If I had to guess, I'd think that they were told to consult their copy of Bob Chapek’s Magical Guide to IP Profitability™ and chose Toy Story because it still earns.

Avengers Campus - Reactions / Reviews

Something tells me they'll wait to see how well Guardians is received at Epcot before deciding on the new concept. I'm sure they could retrofit something similar (though Avengers-themed) in that area. I really hope they ditch the personal Soarin'/FoP idea.

But can I LARP as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure????

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

That's the million dollar question isn't it? Would you rather have a mediocre Figment attraction, or no attraction at all, and just relegate Figment to a merchandise selling point? Personally, I shudder to think of them re-interpreting the whole Imagination Pavilion into some new...

News Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

I thought it was decent overall, but couldn't help but feel like it was a bit too... "contained"? For some reason I think Disney played it very safe and didn't really let it breathe. I could also see some people being turned off by the character designs.

What will Disney announce for Disney World at the 2022 D23 expo?

Coulda sworn that the Quinjet attraction was rendered the, "we'll explore it again when we have more money" verdict that Mary Poppins got, and not outright cancelled. Regardless though, hope (or interest) of it surfacing anytime in the next 5 years is minimal at best.

News New Experience Center to open in the Odyssey Events Pavilion

It was a really impressive display when it was brand new at D23 2019. Seeing it again 2 years later was just, meh.

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

I never read them myself, just vaguely remember the premise. I did read an awful series called Hidden Mickey (well, 3 of them) that was basically attempting to be National Treasure set inside Disney parks. It was admittedly an idea I thought could and should have been amazing, but... they...

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

It's a real double-edged sword. The merch selling so well with the current attraction in place tells Disney, "People clearly still love Figment, therefore what we have is fine!". And if the merch wasn't selling well, it tells Disney, "hmmm maybe people are over Figment. Might be time to...

Isn’t that vaguely the premise of those Kingdom Keepers book series??? Honestly, I’d probably see that movie.

Avengers Campus - Reactions / Reviews

I often think it’s easy for us to treat the parks like the studios, and almost expect them to be putting out “something new” on a yearly basis. But I’m glad they don’t.

Avengers Campus - Reactions / Reviews

The Splash redo will be “new” after Runaway Railway. Beyond that though, it might quiet down for a bit. Unless they decide to steam ahead with the resurrected Avengers e-ticket or surprise us by returning to Tomorrowland to finish what they started.

    Connections Cafe and Eatery

See, the ironic thing is, I agree with you 100%. Even though I live in CA, I consider Epcot my “home” park, since it was the place I first fell in love with Disney theme parks back in the late 80’s-early 90’s. I left in ‘94, went back in ‘98, then not again until 2011, and then finally returned...
