    Resort decision

With 5 I would suggest Old Key West. I have 3 teenage kids, and the 5 of us found the 1 bedroom villa at OKW more than big enough. Will only have to sort out who share's the double bed and who get the single in the main living area.

    Harry potter early entry

I'm sure you will be okay. I would imagine that the "pass" is along the lines of a voucher you hand over at the gate whenever you want to use it. Make sure you allow time to get your park tickets if you are picking them up at the gate. The queues are seperate to the main gate queues.

Which one of these resteraunts should we eliminate?

Vote to ditch Tony's. By far the worst Italian food I have ever had, including frozen microwave meals. I can't comment on many of the other choices, having never eaten at them myself. I can say Raglan Road is superb and has a great atmosphere.

    Getting To Know Your Resort!

We don't go out on the first day to explore every nook and cranny. As other UK visitors have said, we get to the resort about 4pm, I will sometimes take the kids to the pool for an hour while my DW unpacks (she doesn't like being in the pool). We will then go get something to eat and go to bed...

    Weather. Advice please.

We have just got back and were there last Monday when hurricane Isaac passed by. It absolutely tipped it down on the morning but by mid afternoon had stopped. So we went to MK, I guess most people had written the day off as the park was deserted, every ride was walk on. Every other day...

To Use The Dining Plan or Not

Just come back from a trip with the dining plan. There was 5 of us, each meal at the Disney restaurants would have been approaching $200 if we had paid cash. We didn't find any restrictions on the selection of entrees, but some deserts were off the list available. I have to say that it is...

    Monorails, buses, boats and chaos

I have stayed off site and on. The only reason we rent a car now is so that we can get off site easily for cheaper restaurants, visit other parks and shop. Whenever we go to the parks I find it just as easy ( and quick) to get the buses. Any time you save driving to the parking lot is lost by...

    Monorails, buses, boats and chaos

I don't see how renting a car would have improved the Op's experience. He would have still had to get to the TTC from MK. I'm currently in WDW and over the past 10 days have not had any problems getting back to my resort at park closing using the Disney buses.

Back from 6 days at AKL - the end of August is no longer a secret

I'm at OKW now. Resort is at capacity according to concierge. Monday at the parks was great after the rain stopped. At Magic Kingdom every ride was walk on. However, Tuesday was packed. The thing I have noticed is how few Americans are here, I'm from the UK, but I have never seen so many...

    Part Cash/Part DVC

We checked in today. They have given us seperate tickets so we can get into the parks straight away. We can't have them on our KTTW until part2 of our trip when we activate the dining plan

The 'Honey your famous, where did the pretty girlies go?'..July Trip Report.

There are tons of Indian restaurants in every British town. Chicken Tikka Masala is actually the most popular dish in the UK. It is regarded as very mild in spice (but enough for me). Don't ever be tempted to try a Vindaloo or Phal, they will make your head explode.

    What is your favorite Queue?

You have obviously not spent 2hrs in August stood in that queue. No air con and only half the fans turning very slowly. I lost 12lbs in that 2hrs

Universal Orlando Ideas to Kick Disney Down

Universal would not exist without WDW and would not survive long if WDW suddenly shut down. That said I'm a big coaster fan so I do prefer The universal parks (and Busch even more) over the Disney from a thrill seekers point of view.

    Epcot Center Opening TV Special...

Is the first little girl Drew Barrymore, from ET, Charlie's Angels etc? I once saw Danny Kaye in "Singin in the Rain" at the London Paladium:D

I would give up my Disney trip for ......

After watching the Athletics last night I would give up my 11 days in the world, to be able to go back and be in the Olympic Stadium to witness that. 3 British golds in 45 mins:D The hairs on the back of my neck were tingling just watching on TV, so god knows what it would have been like to...

    Part Cash/Part DVC

Our upcoming trip is split between using some DVC points (for 5 days) and cash reservation (for 6 days with dining plan). We are staying at OKW for the whole time in a 1bed apartment, hopefully not having to move midway. Despite asking at the time of booking about getting the park tickets early...

Need some advice for outside the parks!

I don't know your budget or how daring they are. What about Warbird Adventures in Kissimmee. They take you up in WW2 planes and do loops and fly upside down etc. It's not cheap though, starts at $250 each.

    Adults Only?

Lets take this idea a stage further. How about EMH in the parks that are adults only. You could leave the parks to the families all day, while you relaxed, played Golf or go to a spa. Then hit the parks late on, when all the kids are tucked up in bed.
