Epcot Center Opening TV Special...

Ok so I can't get to YouTube or any other video sharing sites here at work but I assume that's the entire TV special that ran for the Grand Opening. I actually just rewatched that a month or two ago. Just thinking about it I have the "Just Begun to Dream" song stuck in my head (again)!

my Epcot knowledge is bad, no idea they were supposed to join on

Ugh,I love that opening day video and I also loved Danny Kaye and the song he sings.
I also love when he says all of Walt Disney World is part of Epcot. It makes me tear up a bit.

Yep, Isreal and Iran (Imagine that now!), Spain, Equatorial Africa, and about a dozen other countries were considered at one time or another.

I had a video tape of the opening special as a kid (I was about 4 years old) and I'd play it so many times, the tape wore out! My dad worked at Epcot and I visited there often, still couldn't get enough of the opening video!

The best part is IMO with Danny Kaye speaking to Eric Sevareid about what Walt Disney meant to the world
