I finally just got my luggage tags, photopassport, etc..and wondered has anyone ever gone tubing
or taken a guided fishing tour? I was trying to think of something fun for my DH and DS to do together. We have miniature golfed in the past but it was the type of thing we could do anywhere.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated or suggestions!! Thanks so much!!

You didn’t state when you were going. If it’s during December, The RV’ers at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds put-up awesome Xmas displays (visit after dark). In March, the Atlanta Braves play their Spring Training games at Disney’s Wide World of Sports. If you have a vehicle, a drive over to the town of Celebration ( Disney designed) for great dinning and some shopping.

The only thing we plan on doing outside of WDW is Wizarding World of Harry Potter AND a full day at the beach. We've rented a car and everything, just need to pick a beach. I can not wait to just relax in the sun : )

I have a five year old son myself. When we go on our family trip in November, I was planning on hitting up one of the marinas and renting a Searacer for an hour or so. The marinas have all sorts of personal watercraft that could be fun for your DH & DS to rent for an afternoon.

Rent the ski boat on Bay Lake, it is really fun and the people at Sammy Duvalls are great!
I'm going to have to look into this. I've been trying to think of something for my wife and I to do together when my in-laws watch my son for a bit to give us some time alone. I first though about doing one of the tours but the ones we are mostly interested in are the more expensive ones of course lol

I don't know your budget or how daring they are. What about Warbird Adventures in Kissimmee. They take you up in WW2 planes and do loops and fly upside down etc. It's not cheap though, starts at $250 each.

Just curious, how soon before your trip did you get your luggage tags and packet. I am leaving in 2 & 1/2 weeks and haven't seen mine yet?

As for going outside the world. The last time in Florida we went to the space center. It was great. I am thinking about renting a car and doing it again when we go.

I was 34 days out when I got my package! According to these forums most people get them around day 30. If I were you I would call Disney and see if there has been some miscommunication.

Great idea on the Space Center my husband would love it.

I don't know how old your son is, however I'm a 16 year old girl and we went to LegoLand, and it was really cool I enjoyed it and my brothers both loved it (19&5) but we all spent/spend a lot of time with legos so if legos aren't your thing that's understandable. Is the Richard Petty driving experience still open? Once again, depending on age that'd probably be cool.

Cocoa Beach, that's the beach of the Space Coast, and it's a straight shot from Disney. There are lots of attractions also, like Ron Jon Surf Shop and Kennedy Space Center a little more north.

I have done the bass fishing 2 x, while we caught no giant bass we did catch a lot of fish in the 2 hours.

We went out of SSR, I'd recommend there or contemporary since those waterays are both pretty extensive.

Just called my travel agent (AAA). They have my packet but say they haven't received the luggage tags yet.

You can get to either coast in a hour or so. I've been to Coco Beach on the East coast many times and its pretty cool. My family has been to Clearwater beach on the West coast and said its amazing. So I recommend having a beach day.
