I think if you guys have never done Tony's maybe at least try it once. If the idea was for dinner, the mushroom ravioli and shrimp with linguini look "safe." The shrimp with linguini is the one dish I have seen more positive reviews for. Not saying outstanding but...and the musthroom ravioli has cream and leek sauce.

I get nervous with "red sauce," at a place like this. I make my own fresh at home like my family does. The cannelloni stuffed with sausage makes me nervous too. I am guessing not fresh sausage. Same thing with the spaghetti and meatballs. If the sauce is glorified marinara and who knows where the heck the meatballs are coming from...but that is me growing up with an Italian family that only uses the fresh veal-pork-beef equation for meatballs. I don't usally order meatballs out. Just saying...

Tough call...I've heard so many negative things about Tony's and the web is full of horrible reviews (both for abysmal food & service) that it would be my first choice to drop. No, I've never tried it personally, but I also never understand the "try it you might like it" thoughts. Sure, I'm originally from NJ and have pretty high standards with Italian food, but in general...outside of WDW I'd never even consider a place with such a plethora of poor reviews, so I don't grasp why I would defy this logic once going through the Disney gates. Yes, I've been tempted to try it b/c it would be a good spot to relax and catch MSEP if seated on time and lucky enough to get an outdoor table- but I have yet to find this enough of a draw to try a place with so many bad reviews.

Now, if I were to go on personal experience...Le Cellier is quite average. If on regular DDP, I'd never burn 2 credits on this.

I checked out the lunch menu for Tony's out of curiosity. Have not done lunch there in years. They have some safe bets. Others, hard to tell... Though some things have pancetta, mascarpone, prosciutto, and I doubt it is the good stuff. Is the proscuitto San Daniele or Parma, which is the best? Because domestic can be gritty and almost sandy in texture with a bitter after taste if it isn't good. They have pizza which I am sure is standard park pizza and I have heard disaster stories. If it is what I have had at PP in DHS or the monstrosity I had at Pizzafari in AK back in the day, I say run...

Not sure here. Feeling apprehensive...maybe some have tried some of these things and can be more helpful.

As far as Le Cellier, it was one of our choices last year due to the prix fixe lunch option. We booked an adr this year before the menu changed. I called to cancel the reservation (after the ADR system was messed up) & was told that they still have the prix fixe lunch...Now the menu online has no mention of the prix fixe lunch. Does anyone know if they still have this- any recent visitors, please let me know.

So I'm getting that we should either drop le cellier or Tony's?
But how is bongos? I have never eaten their before, and the menu looks interesting
Also, what about the famous Tonga Toast at Kona? I hear many people who love it, but also hear many who hate it.

Well as far as Bongo's goes,I've read more bad than good reviews. But I've passed it quite a few times and it never looks that busy.Always a bad sign,no matter where in the world you are.

Bongos = least "magical" place I've ever eaten at...even Tony's at least "feels" like you are still at the Magic Kingdom...but Bongos food is only "kind of Cuban" and the best (and largest portion) menu items are generic things like chicken with potatoes...spices are bland, and the "cuban" dishes are mostly for show, not for taste.
The exterior is the most "themed" part of the restaurant, once inside, you feel like you are in a Red Robins or similar restaurant anywhere nationwide. THere is zero Disney "magic"...compare that with the superb Raglan Road just a ways down, and there is no comparison. That being said, the service was very good and there almost seemed to be too many staff members!...I will be the first to say that Tony's food is average at best, but at least it has the Magic Kingdom atmosphere, and its an okay option at the parks.
I would certainly never go out of my way to go down to DTD to dine at Bongos (while I would do so for Raglan Road, and do a couple times each visit). You will be very disappointed.

Vote to ditch Tony's. By far the worst Italian food I have ever had, including frozen microwave meals. I can't comment on many of the other choices, having never eaten at them myself. I can say Raglan Road is superb and has a great atmosphere.

I never went to some of the restaurants on the poll, but I barely picked Tony's over le Cellier for eliminate. Tony's isn't that good and has been on forgot about it list for a while. My last trip experience there put Le Cellier on my off list besides the amount of credits it takes up on the Disney Dining plan.

While I had a bad experience at Le Cellier for one of my two times there on last time trip, there is stuff that you should consider also as issues. The food isn't worth the price or the 2table service credits it costs under the Disney Dining plan. If you want to go to a steak house under the Disney Dining plan for 2 credits, go to Yahtsman steakhouse based on what I heard.

Wow! I feel like I have to speak up for Tony's here. My family really likes the place. DS and I like the chicken parm. DH usually likes the catch of the day, which is usually wood plank salmon. DD loves the mickey ravioli from the kids menu. If you can manage it, it is great to plan it, so you can watch the parade go by. And all the Lady and the Tramp references are great. At least give it a try! By the way, if you n walk in there thinking about Italian the way Mama used to make it, you are bound to be disappointed, but it IS a theme park. That said, it drives me nuts when people compare it to Olive Garden. I can't eat at that place, or set foot in it. The sauce smells like...well, it doesn't remind me of anything good, and makes my stomach turn a bit.

Sanaa is what I call " A little Disney secret place " but it's getting more & more recognised now. I love the tandoori chicken & Durban spiced chicken. The flavours are superb without being too spicy.
