Here are my ideas for Universal to kick Disney down to the floor if done correctly.
Red = new

Universal Studios Florida:- Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem
- Madagascar 4D Show (Updating Shrek)
- Revenge of The Mummy
- Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
- Disaster
- Twister
- King Kong 360 3D (Former Jaws Area) (Themed to safari of skull island when entering tunnel)
- The Prop House (Tons of famous props from Universal films) (Replacing a Restaurant or store)
- Men In Black: Alien Attack
- Transformers (Replacing 'The Simpsons') (Simulator rather than a Spiderman type ride)
- E.T.
- Woody Woodpecker Nuthouse Coaster
- Universal Superstar Parade

Islands of Adventure:- The Incredible Hulk Coaster
- Dr. Doom's Fear Fall (Refurbishment)
- The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman
- X Men Spinny Thing (Sorry I forgot the name)

- Popeye's Bilge Rat Barges
- Dudley Do Right: Ripsaw Falls
- Garfield Kitty Coaster (kid coaster) (painted orange) (Cannons gets you wet) (Replaces theater)

- Jurassic Park River Adventure
- Ptereadon Flyers (Major Refurb so everybody can enjoy it, mild thrill, and add some more show scenes like an interior cave, take it out of Camp Jurassic)
- Camp Jurassic
- Discovery Center

- Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey
- Flight of the Hipogriff
- Dragon Challenge
- Untitled (A stunt spectacular replacing Poseidon's Fury)
- Rethemed 'Lost Continent' Area with interactive walk through attractions

- The Cat in The Hat
- How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Dark Ride Inside Mount Crumpit)

- CaroSEUSSel
- High Over The Sky Trolley
- Red Fish, Two Fish, Blue Fish

What do you think? Nine new attractions? Are they possible?

I mean no disrespect, but wouldn't this be best posted on a Universal lovers site? Personally, in no way, shape or form, would I want to see Disney kicked down in any way, but I just wonder about a post like this on a Disney lover's website.

If you really want to help a Unviversal park you should leave their current plan for the Jaws area alone rather that put in a King Kong area. I think the diagon alley will be a bigger draw than all of your ideas.

That being said - do they have to knock Disney down? Seems that they could (and do) all coexist.

Can't we all just get along?

Haha I'm a Disney lover and I don't want Disney to be kicked down, I just meant it in a way that Universal would get some awesome new rides, not literally lol.

Universal would not exist without WDW and would not survive long if WDW suddenly shut down.

That said I'm a big coaster fan so I do prefer The universal parks (and Busch even more) over the Disney from a thrill seekers point of view.

Is it odd that none of these new attractions make me want to go to Universal Studios.....?

Typical? :P

I think you're wrong there. If WDW suddenly disappeared off the face of the Earth, people would still visit Orlando. There's still Universal Orlando, Sea World, Legoland, Busch Gardens, Kennedy Space Center, numerous dinner theaters, resorts, beaches, etc to see in Central Florida. Would it hurt the tourism industry in Orlando? Probably, but not enough to kill off the other parks. Central Florida is an established world tourist destination.

I don't think the OP was literal about the whole "knock Disney down" thing.

As a huge fan of both, I hope Universal and Disney continue to duke it out forever. More things for me to experience as a guest.

Universal Studios Florida:
- Madagascar 4D Show (Updating Shrek)
- King Kong 360 3D (Former Jaws Area) (Themed to safari of skull island when entering tunnel)
- The Prop House (Tons of famous props from Universal films) (Replacing a Restaurant or store)
- Transformers (Replacing 'The Simpsons') (Simulator rather than a Spiderman type ride)

No offense, but these are kind of weak. Transformers is getting a huge E-ticket without having to replace an already incredibly popular attraction. Plus, getting rid of Simpsons will mean getting rid of a super popular franchise and a heavy merchandise seller.

If Madagascar would go anywhere, it would be the new KidZone when that is done. And the current plan for Amity is much, much stronger than Kong 360.

- Garfield Kitty Coaster (kid coaster) (painted orange) (Cannons gets you wet) (Replaces theater)

Not a terrible idea. Would rather it be inside and no water though. IoA has enough water rides.

- Ptereadon Flyers (Major Refurb so everybody can enjoy it, mild thrill, and add some more show scenes like an interior cave, take it out of Camp Jurassic)

No reason for this, really. The ride has horrible capacity, and that's the reason it has all the restrictions. There are other plots in JP were rides can be built without moving PF

- Untitled (A stunt spectacular replacing Poseidon's Fury)
- Rethemed 'Lost Continent' Area with interactive walk through attractions

There's already a stunt show directly next door to Poseidon's Fury. And Lost Continent already has a walkthrough...Poseidon's Fury.

- How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Dark Ride Inside Mount Crumpit)

This is the only one on your list that is possible. But it would be a Matterhorn-style coaster/dark ride.

Universal has plenty of ideas to take the fight to Disney. What we know of now is the tip of the iceberg.

That's why I said a major refurb of the ride so that all those issues are resolved. So it'd practically be a real coaster now that everybody in the family can enjoy

I know how dare they say something negative about our beloved WDW!
Especially in the Universal sub-forum...just unbelievable!

I really hope Universal steps things up even more in the future. This way WDW has 2 options... to become even staler product or to step up even higher and create quality attractions once again.:)

I think Disney will eventually step up their game. They have to...or Universal will continue to cut into their piece of the theme park pie. What Universal is doing and has planned for the near future is amazing. I'm so much more excited at what's happening at that resort over what's happening at WDW. It's sad.

With that all said, I REALLY hope some type of flume/water ride is in the cards for the Studios. It gets so hot and I'd love a ride to cool me off. I think one themed to Kong would be sweet.

It was a figure of Speech. I love WDW a lot and visit every year haha, I wouldn't want anything to happen to it!

I agree with all of this, but I also think Universal Orlando Resort is the best in Orlando at the moment.

My rolling eyes was not at you(the OP)... more at the post saying this belonged on some other website. Hey I think we all love WDW, but those folks that are based in the real world and do not have a pixie dust addiction, see it's serious decline over the past 5-10 years or so. Like others have said, as long as Universal keeps pushing the bar higher, without a legitimate WDW response... the more people will leave WDW for better product.
