What makes you sad at Disney World

One of my cheerleaders passed away when she was 12. Every time I walk into rockin roller coaster I remember her thinking the marble doors were the coolest. I still reach over and roll them each time I go.

    Parental Superiority at Disney Parks...

This is similar to the "little lady effect" I am about as tall as an average 13 year old girl so that makes it ok to put the wild child in front of me and then stand behind me to yell over my head at little Johnny. If I ever have kids they should pray they behave at a park or else I will haul...

    Parental Superiority at Disney Parks...

Sorry for opening that up. I will always be ok with a parent that wants to save a seat for their kids. Should I save a seat for my boyfriend? Heck no!

    Parental Superiority at Disney Parks...

I have no kids, I don't want them. That being said, when I travel to the World I do so in one of two ways. Alone with my boyfriend, or with 30 youth cheerleaders under the age of 11. The way I see it is if I can control 30 cheerleaders by myself and make sure they get to whatever parade they...

Have you done Drink Around the World?

Done it and LOVED IT! I found it easier to start at Canada and end in Mexico if you are going the hard alcohol mixed drink route, the liquor tastes more like juice to begin with and makes the whole thing go easier. Scope out quick serves along the way. I had a funnel cake and some egg rolls and...

    Favorite queue?

See, I see that as part of the theming. I am talking about the corrals to the right of the theater outside... I feel like they ran out of money and just threw up some posters, as a 9 year old kid the wait was HORRIBLE out there. I guess I always thought of the attraction starting the minute I...

Anyone Smelled Something in a Ride?

My memory can date this back to 2005 OR Jan 2007 but I remember a really weird stinky smell at the top of the drop in BTM. It was right where you reach the top of the climb through the "falling cavern" and where the water was pouring down. Man was it stinky! I'm guessing it was from the pipes...

    Favorite queue?

Inside is super cool but outside I feel like I am at a 6 flags. I would have to say the following are my top 3: Star Tours ToT The new cue at HM

Rumor: Jack & Sally Meet 'N Greet appearing at WDW

I feel bad saying this but I was kinda hoping for more. Maybe they look better in person? Their costumes seem like ones that would be purchased to wear to a party. Moreso Sally than Jack.

    Never Knew About This ?

I planned a trip for my friend and found a ton of cool stuff I never knew about. The parasol parade in the mornings at GF (my mom calls it the maid parade). Every morning they pick a guest staying at gf (usually a small girl) who leads the parade and she gets to keep the parasol. The fire dance...

How to complain to Disney about a meal after returning home?

I would complain about the rude service, but I would also point out that you may have been a little pushy as well, they will take you more seriously if you explain that you weren't magical yourself. I love Tony's. My whole life I wanted to eat at Tony's I finally did for my DBFs Birthday a...

    Splitting Epcot in half

I just saw a video on progresscityusa.com while catching up on a whole summer's worth of blogs last night. The video mentions WS development as a stand alone feature, as well as EPCOT briefly at 2:59. I would love to see the rest of the video, if any of you have it PLEASE let me know.

DVC Problems?: Chicago/NYC Sales Office to Close

I know that the one in Chicago (at Woodfield Mall) was giving away $50 mall (amex) gift cards to each person that went on the "tour" as of a month or two ago. I found it incredibly awkward, it being in the mall and all, but pretty informative as they had the rooms all set up and I could judge...

What do I need to know for MK on New Years Eve

We went a few years ago on NYE and ended up going to MK the night before as they used to run the exact same show two nights in a row, so that might be an option if you wanted to see the show there and avoid crowds. We ended up at MGM for NYE and it was incredible, there were no where near the...

My Disney trip in Aug / Port Orleans

If anyone in your party is employed by a school district in any role you get a discount at Swan and Dolphin which might make it a little more bearable. The location is great in relation to Epcot and DHS if your daughter is antsy. The busses from Pop can POFQ can be rather long but not unbearable.

Riverside, the Good, Bad, and Ugly Needed

Also if you are renting a car you can ask for a room closer to the parking lots. This was helpful when we decided to leave for a day to Universal and we found the parking lots to be plentiful.
