Hmmm, maybe the definition changed.
I don't see the Fantasia similarity at all. :shrug:
Actually I think the Aiken is a bit of a stretch as well although I concede that they probably do have the same audience.

Fantasia = Power-note belter.
Syeesha = Power-note attempter.
I liked her earlier when she did more intimate stuff, but personally, every attempt at Proud Mary screams, "I wanna be like Tina Turner!"
The Aiken comparison comes from having a dorky looking kid who does feel-good, "Power to the People" ballads while 12-year-old girls squeal.
But what do I know... AI is an amazing 33% on the best singer actually winning (2 out of 6 for those playing at home; Clarkson and Underwood) and Archuleta winning this year will put them at an colossal 42% (3 out of 7). But if you count out Archuleta because he's done a similar thing five years ago... that would put them at 29% (2 out of 7).

Agreed, and as far as Clay Aiken, he may have turned into a suspicious character since his Idol days, but I'll take his voice over Archuletta any day.

I love Daughtry but I think David Cook is more talented...:shrug: He has more range in his voice than Chris...we'll see how his first album sells. I know I will be first in line to get it..

I love that show except for the screaming lady. She's just obnoxious.
So... I LOVE Adam Levine, I have for quite some years now. LOVE him. But did anyone else get the feeling that he was... hopped up on something...:lookaroun He seemed quite... wired.

Hey, during AI last night, our local FOX channel was showing news teasers and they said something about "2 previous AI finalists who are now a couple and will be heading down the aisle soon." Tried to stay up for the news but fell asleep before they had that part on.

So which are you admitting to- quoting someone else's opinion as your own, or watching the show PLUS reading up on VFTW.
