Saw this on FB. Nice job and congrats

3 miles -11:39 pace. I haven't been that slow in a long time. I will blame it on the humidity. It was really bad out today. Ran at 7 pm and it was still 92 degrees and humid as all get out! Legs felt like lead today.
I always blame it on the humidity... because 99% of the time, that is the reason if it is high. However, we still have to push through!
2.5 miles on the treadmill at a 9:40 pace! Woo-Hoo!!!
Then did an hour of pilates/yoga.
You always bring it.

Went to the gym after work. I had some frustration I needed to work out. I figured a 30 minute run or a 5k should handle it. I ended up doing 5.05 miles in 64 minutes.

I feel much better now.

Congrats, looks like you fit right in with the insanity. Random question, is Laura Yasso releated to Bart Yasso from Runners World? It's bad enough recognizing people at local races, but now if I'm recognizing names and pictures of people I presumably have never run with in my life, I think I'm officially spending way to much time running.........

Today was a odd workout. Tried tossing on new sneakers after yesterday feeling off, so I went a little longer and slower than I would have otherwise and then shifted to weights and PT like normal.

Last night after having the goal of adding more running days, I hit the gym and put in 2 quick miles on the TM. I felt good doing it, finally, and hope to only get better.

Good run this morning with a negative split. I biked 3.5 miles after that making up for missing yesterdays ride. I woke up with a crick in my neck back shoulder blade yesterday and couldn't turn my head. That isn't conducive to then go ride a bike. Still is bad today, but at least I can turn my head.

Happy Wednesday.

Nice workout this morning

3 rounds of 120 single under (jump rope), 30 box jumps and 20 kettlebell swings. Will see if the wife and son would like to go for a walk/run this evening, depending on weather. I get an easier day tomorrow, 3 miles.

Good call! And now you know to avoid restaurants in the Mexico pavilion the night before your WDW 5K! o_O

Well, maybe just avoid food in the Mexico pavilion. hehe Actually the night before the 5K, we have dinner at 'Ohana. I think I'll be OK in the morning. :) And Princess Breakfast in Norway after the 5K, so I should be good to go.

And no run is a wasted run. Anytime you get out there, it is an achievement. I'm sure your pace will pcik up as you increase your running intervals, but I honestly wouldn't give it a second thought until you have built up a consistent 2 mile running base. Emphasis on speed too soon often causes injuries.

Thanks for the encouragement and advice!!

Nice job.
A room full of girls doing Hula lessons, to be a fly on the wall. Is a grass skirt required yet?

Yes, and you have to wear it as a man would wear a kilt! ;)

For the last class I'm going all out- flower lei, grass skirt and coconut bra! :D

We're having a photographer do photo favors at my son's Bar Mitzvah, and given the tropical theme, we bought a bunch of grass skirts, leis, and coconut bras to encourage people to get in the theme of things for the photos against a palm tree backdrop! I think it'll be a riot with men taking pics with the coconut bra over their suits as the evening progresses and the pina coladas flow!

Anyway, as for me, 4 miles speedwork on the TM today.

Just under 30 miles this morning, 102 degree temps. I wish it were hotter.

Head was fried the last 2 miles and started bonking because I didn't hear my 30 min timer go off...I was zoned out and just looking at the spot just in front of my feet.

Stopped at the local 7-11 and grabbed a coke which I chugged down in 10 seconds, giant belch included.

Got home, dropped and did 115 push ups, not in the shade.

25 miles yesterday.

Don't run on a machine, become one. (excluding Coryna because she has two wonderful kids. Thank Isabella again for the awsome picture she drew for me!)

Run hard, or stay home and complain, folks, it's your choice :D
