Hi all!

It's been a long road this past year-between graduating from college and finding a job, it was difficult to be able to plan a trip a trip not knowing if I'd be able to take time off and what not, not to mention contributing to footing the bill. Now that I got a great job-we're good to go! This weekend we finally booked our next magical Disney trip!

We'll be in The World from 4/30-5/8 at the Coronado. We've never been at that time of year! Ryan has never been to the Coronado-I stayed there about 5 years ago but it'll be new to me too due to the refurb.
****UPDATE: We switched our reservation to the Dolphin!****

We're super excited!!! :sohappy:

Our last trip was during the cold front Florida experienced this past January so it'll be nice to not have to worry about that come early May.

Now for dining-so far we know we want to eat at Mexico, Crystal Palace, and Narcoossee's and we might splurge for CRT. Any suggestions are welcomed!

GF Cafe is a GREAT underrated spot.
Teppan Edo is always a win.
Lots of great stuff coming out about Kona Cafe's steak.

Congrats on the trip!!!!

Ohana's for late dinner with fireworks while you eat (near the window if your lucky of course:)) or eat a little early and get to the beach for them (or Sunset Point - just bring something to cover that stupid light there )

Going to be trying Narcoossee's and Teppan Edo for the first time in 62 days (hope its good)

And congrats on the trip as well!!

Congrats on your trip! DD and I LOVED Teppan Edo - it was fantastic! it gets a bit loud but that is part of the aura...plus the show the chefs put on is well magical! CRT we are trying for the 1st time this year so I can give you a heads up after Thanksgiving on that one (lol)

OH I know! My sister turned me onto this one. Dinner at the Contemporary at the California Grill. She says after dinner, you get invited to the 15th floor outside viewing area where they stream in the music from Cinderella's Castle during the fireworks show and you get to watch them outside from that viewing area! We are doing it this year so if you haven't done it, I can let you know about it after Thanksgiving!

Maybe Garden Grill at Epcot? It's pretty cool because it makes a big circle while you are eating, but you go so slow you hardly know you are moving! Plus Chip and Dale are a hoot!

Just wanted to say congrats on booking your next trip. I know it is always tough to figure things out financial wise/time off. But just think how much more wonderful it will be when you return!

Les Chefs de France is one of my favorite places to eat on property. Jiko is also an excellent place with a great atmosphere. Have you been to Narcossee's? We went there on our last trip and loved it as well.

Congratulations on your job and your upcoming trip! I guess you want to be sure that Splash Mountain will be open when you go next.

Hey there-nope neve been to Narcoossees so were looking forward to it and YES Splash Mountain being open at that time of year is a huge reason why we chose then! It's such a bummer always missing it in January.

Have a great time!! I just booked our trip for January and we are staying at Coronado too. First time there! The rooms look beautiful and I'm crossing my fingers for good weather.

I made our ADRs for Kouzzina, Jiko, Ohana, Le Cellier and Kona Cafe. I haven't tried Kouzzina or Jiko yet, so I'm super excited to try them out!

I know!! But taking into consideration all of it (crowd levels, price, ride closures and weather), I'd rather sacrifice weather and a few rides being closed than have to deal with high temps, crowds, and prices. I'll pack a parka.

Plus, I show horses, so April through October is show season for me and it's harder to get away during those times. And it's always nice to have something to look forward to after the holidays, when it's cold and dismal in the Northeast.

Awesome! Congrats on the job AND the trip!

We went at that time this year and it was amazing. Hot, and the crowds were definitely bearable. I'd go again in May in a heartbeat!

DW is currently in grad school; soon I’ll be calling her doctor instead of just “hon” so we both know your pain and all the effort you have put in so first and foremost congratulations!

Might I recommend two favorites of ours? Either place is romantic and the food is good too.

California Grille
Bistro de Paris

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone-you guys are so sweet.

Tiaragirl- thank you and glad to hear you enjoyed May!! Like I said it's something new for us and were super pumped about it.

Zurgandfriend- thank you and best wishes to DW! Thanks for the suggestions. We love Cali Grill and the more people bring it up the more I want to go
back! Bistro de Paris sounds good-do they have something in particular you like to get?

Congrats on everything! I finished grad school a couple years back and I feel your pain - finding a job for post school is definitely one of the least enjoyable experiences I've had. Now you can go to work with something to look forward to!

One suggestion I'd make, especially if you aren't using the dining plan is the Plaza Restaurant. Its reasonably priced with a great atmosphere (similar to Crystal Palace), and I have always enjoyed the food when we've visited. Another plus for saving some money is that the sandwiches are big enough to split. Double bonus: that helps leave room for ice cream afterward!
