What are some unique (so no toothpaste, underpants, etc.) items you pack to take to Disney? You know, the type of things that other people might not think of, but you find really helpful.

Some of the things we pack include:

-Yankee Candle (to give our trip a "scent")
-Starbucks VIA
-Moisture wicking socks and shoes
-Sun hats (Sarah, not me)
-External HD

...among a bunch of other things. Our full list is here: http://www.disneytouristblog.com/featured-post/disney-trip-packing-guide-list/

Dedicated spot in backpack to place chargers. Back in May I lost the charger to my brand new iPhone. DVC's in room docks saved me.

~A stop in South Carolina to Costco to get some bottles of Kirkland Vodka and Tequila
~Bloody Mary Mix
~Cherry Vodka
~Seven Up
~Dixie Cups

(beats buying a mixed at the poolside bar)

sounds like our kind of vacation planning!!!

Camelbak backpack. I get easily dehydrated which usually results in headaches, so I bought the 2L version and filled it with ice at the resort before going to the parks. Some people look at you funny for drinking through a tube from your backpack but its better than carrying a bunch of water bottles around and its free!

I don't know if this exactly fits the category but I like to calculate the transportation times (using another website) between different locations and take them in a small notepad. I usually write down all of the options too (bus/boat/car/walk) and we decide what method to use at the time. It probably sounds strange (and may be planning OCD) but it helps when you want/need to leave a park to get to a dinner reservation somewhere else on property.

I like your Style!

With four out of five in the family being 21+ and friends from Tampa coming to hang out ( DVC as well). A cocktail a person at the pool can be pricey. Just a way to tone down cost a hair. We cannot buy Costco brand spirits here in Va so most of it comes back here as well.

I pack an Apple Airport Express base station so that I can use wifi in my room and to use Skype on my iPhone to phone home to the UK avoiding stupidly high data roaming charges.

An iphone/ipad TV out adapter along with a season or two of a good tv show loaded up on the ipad to watch in the hotel room.

For those that have foot blister problems, check out Thorlo running socks on Amazon. Before getting a few pairs of these, I never made it through day 2 without blisters. With these I made it through my last 10 day trip without a single one.

Have you tried the tea from Goofy's Candy Factory in DtD? I am accustomed to my cousin's husband giving me tea from his hometown in England so I am picky but I love the stuff you buy there.

No, I have not... I will look into it the next time I'm there!

I also bring tape as well... it's one of those things that when you need it - you need it (like the scissors). I had to use it at MNSSHP to keep my daughter's Tink wings up on her costume.

I'll vouch for the Thorlo running socks although I don't wear them for walking the parks. I had terrible problems with blisters when running a few years ago. I finally bit the bullet on the cost and bought a couple pairs of Thorlos. I've not had a blister since. They're kinda expensive (think I paid like $9 or so per pair) but worth every penny.

I believe someone may have said this but I bring a soap dispenser so I don't have to use bar soap to wash my hands.

Also antibacterial hand sanitizer travel size for in the parks.

Pens and my Disney journal to write about the days events. This is great for writing down CMs names if they have a particularly magical or unmagical presence in your vacation.

Costco pack of chapstick

Couple rolls of paper towels

A six pack of the two-ply we use at home. (What can I say? Adjustments of that nature are not simple)
