Here's my thoughts and questions after reading the last few posts

1) What does TPFKaTD-MGMS mean?

2) Shouldn't WoC go into DAK between EE and the tree for DAK's night show?

3) They'd have to drain Epcot's Bay Lake.... they wouldn't do that (I don't think). I don't think they CAN do that

4) BraviSEAmo isn't popular in TDS to locals. They need a new show and WoC is a water show... I think it fits.

5) WDS doesn't look THAT bad.... just pretty bland

6) Cinderella needs to meet and greet at her castle and leave room for another princess

7) Disney should combat Harry Potter with something classic in one of the parks and I think most Harry Potter fans grew up on The Lion King. Lion King > Harry Potter :)ROFLOL: like that'd ever happen...)

8) DCA has so many great rides, so you have to wonder why they don't do great... it has to be the theming.

The biggest problem with the original DCA was A) Lack of themeing
??? Nah. From what I`ve seen it was quite a pleasent park that had detail that just didn`t add up to an overall cohersive theme.

I went to WDSP 4 months after opening. I know lack of theming. :hurl:

I have head a few people say that WDW is going to start having alchol for the first time in MK. if it is true, how would everyone feel about this? Is it just me or does Gaston's Tavern seem like the answer to Harry Potter's 3 broomsticks?

If they haven't for years they won't start now

MK will NEVER serve booze.

People see Gaston's Tavern on a leaked blueprint jump to a crazy conclusion.

That said, I look foward to having wine with my dinners at DLP soon!

I was just speculating about it. I think wine would be a nicer addition to Mk in certain places btw. :)

Yes, thank you for the pictures. You pointed out the worst examples of the park.. heh. Why not post pictures of Grizzly Trail or the Pacific Wharf area?

the funny thing is, those two examples you provided don't even exist anymore. The Orange Stinger is currently being converted into the Silly Symphony Swings. Maliburritos has been gone for years

I had already anticipated this response:

1) You said DCA had "plenty of themeing" but the truth is only Grizzly peak/condor flats land was well themed the rest of the park looked like this

2) I know these 2 attractions are being converted but we were talking about DCA pre-makeover. You said it had plenty of themeing.

Heres your pacific wharf for ya:

Look at all that rich Disney calibur themeing.

Grizzly Trails, Condor Flats, Pacific Wharf.. all of these opened with the park in 2001.

Again, the GRR area, Condor Flats and Pacific Wharf areas all existed Pre-makeover.

Hollywood Pictures Backlot is like a mini-DHS.. Which I guess means DHS has no themeing then? AK has that horrible Hester/Chester area.. so AK must have zero themeing as well.

Okay, I gotta ask. Have you been to DCA? The fact that you posted that picture and called it Pacific Wharf makes me worry.

And once again - most of what is in that picture is now gone or will be entirely different in about a year. Dino Jack/Corn Dog Castle are gone and TLM will take over most of that space.

oh but how come in the new concept art it shows Pacific Wharf but it looks just like this area (route 66)? You can see the jellyfish and the wild mouse coaster. Are they changing the area name maybe?
To which piece are you referring?

Just a small note: I have spent more time sleeping in Disney's California Adventure asleep while it was closed than actually attending the park while it was open.

This concept art?
http://www.disneygeek.com/updates/disneyland_update.php?page_id=8&update_dir=2009_07_24

Its the Route 66 area rethemed as Paradise Gardens and is the former Burger Invasion and Pizza Omm Mow Mow, and SS Rustworthy. Its suppose to open in Spring 2010.

No, that is not Pacific Wharf. Also in the picture you posted.. that looks like DCA before it even opened. granted, that part of DCA isn't my personal favorite.. but it isn't fair to use a picture of it under construction

I consider Condor and Grizzly to be the same area (and apperantly so does WDI because there going to merge them in phase 2) but even so 3 themed (small) areas whoopey do!

Hollywood Pictures Backlot is like a mini-DHS.. Which I guess means DHS has no themeing then? AK has that horrible Hester/Chester area.. so AK must have zero themeing as well.

Can you see the deference? If the imagineers who worked on MGM saw your statement comparing it to a land in DCA they would probably get depressed/upset/offended. The difference is night and day to just about anyone. TOT has a real themed queue in Florida, MGM's main street is well themed and ends at a weenie attraction inside a recreation of Chinese Mann theather. Hollywood backlot ends in some really obvious looking wall painted to look like clouds.

Your comparing this:

to this

Can you see the differance?

I clearly said it was a mini-DHS. I don't expect it to look exactly the same. I'm not gonna start comparing pictures because we will go on forever if we do that. Why not compare the Animation attractions from each park? Or the Hyperion theatre which houses Aladdin (broadway style show).. to the Beauty and the Beast show at DHS.

I still stand by my original opinion. And I still would like to know if you have been to DCA.
