Can you seriously say to me this plan is better than the redo of Disneyland's fantasyland that is now over 20 years old? I dare you to say that with a straight face.
I'm looking you in the eyes.
"Yes".
*In 83, the did not double the size of Fantasyland. In fact, they did not increase the size or capacity at all.
*In 83, they did not get a big-budget E-Ticket.
*In 83, they got one new attraction (Pinocchio), and a relatively lackluster one at that, as confirmed by having the shortest lines in FL (I'll take Philharmagic over it any day, which DL still does not have)
*In 83, they tore down the Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship, which was likely more beloved than TTF.
*In 83, Disneyland did not get a World Showcase (which uses nearly IDENTICAL themed facades--and a big reason why I hoped MK would not get the same 83 European Village)
*In 83, FL was given a single look, rather than the combined (and unique) "Castle Courtyard"/"Enchanted Forest" idea here.
*In 83, the railroad station was not incorporated into the Fantasyland theme (but it did leave room for that oh-so-fitting Videopolis a few years later)
*Since 83, Disneyland's FL has not incorporated a single Disney film made after Sleeping Beauty in 1959 (unless you count the minor additions to Storybook Land or IASW) At 20-years-old, The Little Mermaid is still newer than Sleeping Beauty was in 83. Adding BATB and Pixies will only make MK's FL more up-to-date.
*No one has confirmed yet that the older MK dark rides are NOT getting upgrades. But even if they're not, Pooh is (at least technically) a more advanced dark ride than anything in the current DL FL. MK's Snow White is newer, and about on the same technical caliber. So that leaves Peter Pan, which does need some work. But are you saying that the extra fiber-optic stars, more motion figures, and more brightly-painted sets in Peter Pan makes the entire 83 makeover better than this one????????????
