FP Queue for the LM

Looking at the queue for LM there seems to be the standard queue that wiggles around and enters the building left of the backwards "C". There seems to be an seperate fast pass line that splits off and meets the queue at the bottom of the "C".

The exit path looks like a hammer and the load/unload is right next to the "M" in Mermaid

But take into account that you are a fanboy and were probably going to show up in 2011/2012 no matter what they build to spend time with your daugther.

Im talking the general public.

When was the last time you saw Disney advertise a new attraction 'to the general public' as a way to entice visitors? WDW doesn't advertise nationally about new attractions. WDW advertises itself as a destination and then advertises via focused materials once they have the audience (like on Disney Channel, or other opt-in style marketing)

Advertising attractions is really only done in the local markets to try to lure in locals. Nationally, with the 'general public' WDW acts as a brand - not boasting about new attractions.

Heck. I live right across the street from Disney property and not once have I seen a Disney advertisement for an attraction. On property backstage on the other hand, I've seen PhilharMagic still advertised at least 100 times...

Eh, here's the way I look at it. MGM already has three E-ticket thrills in Star Tours, Tower, and Coaster. EPCOT has M:S, TT, and Soarin'. DAK has Dino, KS, Kali, and Everest.

DAK and DHS just need smaller additions, not Es. EPCOT needs smaller additions to WS. MK doesn't need small additions, especially after this. Once Mermaid is done, I think MK is a thrill ride and some theming updates away from being a very, very good park.

If Star Tours is considered an E-Ticket, so is Toy Story Mania. I know you said E-Ticket Thrill, but that description is relatively loose when you consider Soarin' and Kilimanjaro Safaris.

I guess I don't see it. I had a Universal Annual Pass but let it expire because it got stale, IoA had not added anything until HP, and honestly I don't know what plans you are looking at but I see nothing to get excited about or even warrant a renewal of my pass for. I think it looks very ... blah. Granted, I am not the target audience for it but one ride that looks OK, nothing earth shattering, I think the plans for the Little Mermaid ride sound entirely more intriguing. Which brings me to this new FL plan ...

Of course, its not official yet but at first glance I was overwhelmed and underwhelmed at the same time ... however I think I am going to reserve my judgment for it until we know officially what the "attractions" are going to be.

I personally think they won't invest all this money into it without another semi-big attraction besides TLM. Now that being said I love the layout and I know the themeing will be amazing ... so I have a mild excitement now. I can't wait to hear something official. This is good news.

I went to Universal and Islands of Adventure twice last December, and we'll be returning with my family this December. My brother was lucky enough to get a free one week pass with their superbowl promotion, but I have a feeling we will just wind up going to Universal and save Islands of Adventure until Potter opens up.

assuming this is real/official, are they going to reuse the tents and stuff from Toon town or just make brand new structures for the meet and greats and forest area?

The tents would work over in the Dumbo area, perhaps even enclosing the two Dumbo spinners.

Remove the go karts and use that area for a new / improved Toon Town? Maybe thats why they are leaving Barnstormer?

If you check out the now infamous plans, you see the "Indy Race Cars" appear in the lower right hand corner, just across the walkway from the teacups, where they always have been. So, apparently they're not going anywhere as part of this plan.

Off topic for a moment: IMO, I know a lot of folks say to yank the cars, but I would be very sorry to ever see them go. Granted they're not as much fun as DL's Autopia, and it'd be awesome to see them redone with a longer track, maybe rethemed to go along with it. Nonetheless, the memories of driving them as a kid, not to mention still getting to drive them even now :D, are priceless.

Caution, you are approaching the unloading area. Please slow down. Do not strike the car ahead....WHAM!!!....:ROFLOL:

I too wish there was another dark ride, but perhaps we'll get a nice Cinderella stage show or something out of it. I really like the expansion with water, plants, better flow, dumbo out of the way... all around a prettier FL.

Also, I'm very happy about the new restaurant. We rarely eat at MK because of a lack of options. This will be welcomed.

My Grade: B

Seriously! At least we have TLM, at least we have the re-theme of FL!

I don't know how anyone could complain just yet.

Now I've read everything! ;)

I'm good with that!:ROFLOL::goodnevil

Anyway, looking at the plans...I see a HUGE Dumbo area...and a interactive queue. Makes me think that there is more to Dumbo here.

same with Belle and her complex.

There's a ton to be seen here.

Her complex... you mean being physically attracted to animals? :lookaroun

A couple thoughts looking at these plans.

*The only oddity in this plan is Barnstormer. I know they wouldn't just rip out a coaster like that. Maybe it's being left as-is for now, with the possibility of a "Phase 2", converting it into the rumored Seven Dwarves Mine (which would fit PERFECTLY with the rest of the new FL)

A Snow White themed attraction wouldn't fit with this (finally organized) layout though.

There's text saying "MIRROR" on the side of Cinderella's attraction. Wonder if it's some sort of interactive mirror in the style of Turtle Talk.

You sure? It looks like it says "MERCH" to me. While that idea would be good... the placement wouldn't make sense.

Me too. :veryconfu Can anyone offer some clues for good search terms?

I looked at it this morning then it disappeared. I found it by googling "Fantasyland Expansion Blueprints"

What a surprise. Conundrum doesn't like it.

And heck yes MK needs another Table Service.

Agree... and Agree...

What happened to the OP? Banned or did Mickey show up and take their computer away?

I think you guys need to realize that the OP is in a completely different part of the world as us. They sleep while you are discussing the thread and their contributions.

Just as many of you flamed him yesterday... he posted it at 4 am and put his money where his mouth is. We don't know 100% if this is the true plan, but I think it's ridiculous how you bashed him (you people know who you are).

People calling BS and Bupkis on him is really telling of those people...

I was just studying the drawing/Google Earth overlay, and came across a few discoveries:

THEY ARE GETTING RID OF THE ENTIRE "POOH'S PLAYFUL SPOT"!

When the drawing is lined up with a real map, it's very obvious that the existing big Pooh tree and everything around is sitting on the Cinderella building plot.

The area designated "Pooh Meet & Greet" is actually carved into a brand new spot that's now landscaped. In fact, nothing in the new "Pooh" area overlaps the existing playground (except for those small clusters of real trees at the very entrance, which oddly, it appears they are saving-- unless they plan to relocating that huge concrete tree there, which I highly doubt)

Also, several have asked about whether the TTF tents would be saved for the Dueling Dumbos. Although the tents are very close to the spinner pads, its clear from the overlay map that the tents WILL BE REMOVED. (Also, I'm sure those pre-fab tents were the most "temporary" thing about the "temporary" Mickey's Birthdayland. They smell rotten and mildewy, and are clearly past their life expectancy. If anything, I always assumed those tents would eventually be replaced with permanent structures.)

I'm trying to figure out what that small building is just southwest of Barnstormer. It appears to read "arcade" but I can't see it clearly. But its definitely a new building that sits behind the existing TTF facepainting tent.

I was surprised to see that they're demolishing the TTF restroom building. That to me proves this is a "spare no expense" project. The building sits right in the middle of the Pixie Hollow area. But I'm sure if they really wanted to, they could have tweaked the plans to build around that restroom, to avoid buying new sinks, toilets, lights, plumbing, air conditioning, etc. But clearly the design of the area beat out a cost-saving measure such as that (if these plans are final, of course!)

I think that building says Merch.
