May 2 (cont.)
Once returned to Pop, I crashed on the bed, needing a reprieve from the sun (the lifeguard in me told me I could not handle another hour without a break) and the other three did a little tanning. Grabbed food at the food court again (I think I had the Big Bowl Chicken Soup and some breaksticks?) and immediately caught a bus to MK for our 1AM partying.
Clearly, we were wearing matching black. It's what all the cool kids do.
CASTLE LOVIN’
Frontierland was next on the list, but the heat had caused a long-ish wait for Splash Mountain (Lauren’s favourite). We FPed it, the return being for 740, and did a little adventuring in Adventureland. Paige and Erica got rings carved after we did Pirates of the Caribbean (no wait). “CAPER” and “STFX”. Caper because we’re from Cape Breton.. and proud
SWOLLEN FINGERS
Like the band Swollen Members, except we sing Shania instead of rap inappropriately.
Aladdin’s Magic Carpets were next. Lovely relaxing flight we had, too. Some pictures:
A WHOLE NEW WORRRRRRLDDDDDDDD
I made my first Disney purchase, a pair of earrings, at the Island store (whatever it’s called), and Lauren got a beautiful Hurley lined, fur hooded sweater for 30$. Yes. We are most definitely Canadian. I ended up buying one for Carly (sista) for her birthday in July (not that she will wear it in July, but it is still a nice gift).
Following our shopping spree we headed to the hub, and walked through the castle.
BFFS
"If Mickey Mouse was real this SO would have happened"
Waiting in line for the carousel, we picked out our horses. Well, technically Lauren picked out her horse and we were forced to sit next to her. Mine was a warrior. I’m down with the purple.
OUU, HORSIES!
(This is what I picture Nicole riding every day, since she is a Princess)
Philharmagic was a walk on after that, and after trying to make a child smile unsuccessfully for 10 minutes we settled down to enjoy Donald’s silliness. It was a hit, of course.. how could it not be? There’s nothing like the classics in 3D!
And then, there was the Haunted Mansion. I appreciate everyone’s love for this ride, I truly do, but it is not my cup of tea. I went on it as a child, and had a nightmare the following night. Thus, I get rather freaked out at anything remotely scary. This shows, of course, making me the easy target of the CM that was working. If you are on here, dear sir, bravo, for your did your job exceptionally. As we were waiting in the stretching room, he made a great show of staring and pacing around me and the girls (but more specifically me). Being the weenie that I am, I was unable to contain my freaked-out-ness, and reacted. The lights went down, and our ghost host chatted to us, and when the lights came up I turned around to see BAM, the CM. I screamed my head off, scaring small children. Sorry kids. It was excellent.
