May 9 - It's over.
Day 9: Oh yeah, because they always say "threat level green, leave your luggage anywhere!"
This was a painful, painful day. We woke up at 715, got dressed as fast as our sore skin would let us, and made our way to breakfast at 8. We were at Parrot Cay again, and I had some oatmeal. It was a sad morning.
We filled out our customs forms and did baggage claim and all that jazz.. we were on the bus by 8:45 and at the airport by 9:40.
Sounds pretty smooth, right? Really solid day. Well. Here's the kicker: our direct flight back to Canananada was not until 6:45PM. Oh yeah. 9 hours to kill, 6 before we could go to our gate. We were loving life.
Lauren and Erica did a little excursion for about an hour, and then Paige and I looked around. While there ARE a lot of shops, there are not enough to keep one occupied for 6 hours. We went to Chilli's around 12:
SAD SAD SADDDD
After which, Paige started to not feel well (and apparently got sick three times when she finally woke up about 36 hours later at home).
Did some more time chilling.. here are the CLASSIEST of pictures to prove it:
WHAT UPPPP, IT'S 10* IN NS BUT I CAN'T WEAR PANTS CAUSE I'M AN IDIOT AND CRISPED MY LEGS
NAPPIN'
We had a considerable amount of space taken up
FIVE HEADDDD =( AND VITNEY, KILLIN TIME
We saw our family (!!!) again! They were waiting for their 3PM flight home to Chicago. We chatted about how the Blackhawks were doing so well (Lauren's a Hawks fan, regardless of the fact that they beat out Vancouver.. well, really, she is more of a Toews fan, but it's okay cause he's a good lookin Canadian boyy) and then they were off. What wonderful, friendly people our family was. It would be nice to see them again someday.
Post-family viewing, Erica and Lauren went to Lush and got free facials. Then Paige and I went to Lush to get free facials, during which time Erica arrived to tell us that our flight was delayed. Loveeeely. An hour. LOVVVVVELY. So unimpressed. Called Dad and he had has "AIR CANADA, CAN'T EVEN GET A FLIGHT OUT OF A SUNNY PROVINCE ON TIME RAWRAWRRAWR" and we moved on upstairs t wait for another 3 hours.
I got Coldstone, though, so that was a good waste of 7$. All about the waffle cones.
Lauren: Do you know how many people threw up on that carpet?
Erica: In this exact spot? Probably not that many. "Oh hey, had a great flight *blahhhh*"
We died laughing, it's fine.
Finally boarded at quarter to 8 and landed in Halifax late late. Got through customs and on the road by 1AM local time (an hour ahead).
