Why not turn Timekeeper into an interactive character that occasionally appears on the stage in some capacity? They still have the animatronic in the old skyway building, don't they?

Just another failure to add to the long list of Imagineering blunders.

. . . poor concept and placement Disney Paris (never made a dime)
Get it right - as pointed out it is budget, not Imagineering that made the mess. Imagineering wanted Westcot. Suits wanted DCA. Imagineering wanted D-MGM Europe. Suits wanted WDSP.

And DisneyLAND Paris has always been in profit as a theme park. It was the elaborate hotels that were overbuilt that dragged the resort into debt as a whole.
