Hmm ok, thanks for the info! Glad to see the scheduled re-opening is still on time as of yesterday.

Yeah, I'm sorta stuck between wanting to ride it again and wanting them to take the time to do the refurb right...:brick:

I don't know...

One thing's for sure, it'll be a good day for me to walk through the doors and down the ramps again! As to the ride... who knows.

I am not stuck at all, they have already closed then ride, so they might as well take as much time as needed to give WDW the same attention and quality attraction like the other parks get. Close it for 2 years if you have to, but why should we be stuck with a run down wild mouse in the dark when you see what they can do with the other parks.

Well, I refuse to get all excited and hopeful about the refurb when you know that WDW won't spend the money to do it RIGHT.

AND on top of that, WDW hasn't been at the forefront of coasters with maybe the exception of EE or RnR. Even that last one has a clone, in another park.

Maybe once WDW steps up to the plate and considers that other parks are kicking them in the pants in the coaster dept, maybe then I'll get all worked up about the refurb, like some of you.

I tend to agree. Although they're spending about 12 million to refurb the attraction, the track layout will remain the same. Nothing like Mission 2 in Paris.

Well, the layout staying the same is not my issue at all...another Vekoma looper at WDW is not high on my priority list in any form. My question is how much of that track is actually being replaced, and if it will make any difference in ride quality. Are they improving the banking? Transitions? They may not be touching the layout in general, but tweaks would make a difference in the way it feels.

However, 12 million is not going to go very far for ride improvements when they have so many things they are trying to address: enclosing the queue, interactive queue elements, dome improvements, new post show. How much can they actually do?? Most things at WDW cost 10X this much these days and we still end up underwhelmed.

If you are expecting a new attraction with a 'never-been-done-before' experience, you'll be disappointed... If you're expecting the current attraction with all new enhancements (see: The Haunted Mansion Refurb) then you won't be disaapointed..

I don't think I'll be disappointed since we all know it really needs some updating. I can't stand the moving walkway with the video cameras, it's like walking though wal-marts video camera department.
