Hey cowboy cowgirl not sure what you are under that mask,I appriciate your opinion and everyone should have one.We are talking about a place WDW we all love and want to see around for a long time.Sadly though we live in a time of cut backs and lay offs.The rides are not always fixed the way we would like or the money spent in the right places.But thats the way they run companies now.Disney will never be run the way we would do it (THE CORRECT WAY) but thats life.If your not happy with WDW then dont go and protest in your own way.Going on this site and stateing your beliefs does not fly here as you have noticed.Just go with the flow they like that,they will argue with you and call you names you can fight back but in the end there is nothing we can do to change the way Disney does buisness.Just enjoy what Disney gives us and if you like Tokyo Disney more save your money and go there more.I would love to go there myself one day.

The best way for him to go away is to ignore him and to stop reading his threads and commenting on them. That is what he wants. He has done this other times as a banned member here.

Now, back to topic. The refurb may be bare bones, but I am still expecting a decent attraction to open up. Sure, it could have been a whole lot more. But, since it won't be, then we should start lowering our expectations. Once the attraction opens, we will all go for a ride on the newly refurbed Space Mountain, and we will all love it.

If you are expecting a new attraction with a 'never-been-done-before' experience, you'll be disappointed... If you're expecting the current attraction with all new enhancements (see: The Haunted Mansion Refurb) then you won't be disaapointed..

I would be very, very, VERY happy with that.:shrug:

here's my 2cents!

SM was an amazing ride even before the refurb. i'm sure EVERYONE can admit that. Yes it was old and probably falling apart but that's what they're fixing now so let's be happy with that? I kinda think it may be a good thing not to change the last TRUE SM. Any plussing to the ride is great and well needed of course but if the ride isnt horrible then why change most of it?:shrug:

I'm glad they seem to be focusing on the key elements that seem to be the most dated and fixing those, especially the line and track. So let's all jsut be happy that they are plussing an already amazing attaction??

Nothing has changed on the outside of the building. From World Drive you can look into the service area on the outside, and see construction dumpsters and scaffolding ready to be assembled (kinda like a ladder =D). As far as interior rehab pics...now that would be nice!

I love the queue as it is, especially the music. The switchbacks need some attention though...as they arent really used

I'll ride it to see how it turned out, but if it doesn't turn out like the HM(the BEST refurb/overhaul I've ever seen) or DL's SM, you bet your butt I will complain. Honestly, people just blindly accepting what is done to WDW is what gives TDO the ability to give us these barebones refurbs. Sorry, but I'm not going to be a sheep and just accept what ever slop they give us.

As an engineer - these projects are planned YEARS in advance so the SM refurb was planned during the last days of the E(isner)vil Empire. It's probably been plussed to a good extent but the engineering is DONE.

This rehab was being planned over 4 years ago. Since then it has been toned down an awful lot - by the TDO of today, not the regiment of yesterday.

If anything the version under Eisner was better.

and no I am not here to cause trouble just to state my opinions and provide facts. When SM opens chanes are I won't even comment since there will be plenty of people complaining then.

I also don't understand why people ignore when I say Disney did a good job with Haunted Mansion and soarin but when I tell people how bad Disney's management is and how not to expect much from them and how they are CUTTING things these are actual facts and people don't want to hear it and just want to call me negative. Blows me away but oh well.

Was I? Really? Hmmmm, let me think back. That is a giant NO. Did you get your information from Wikipedia or Laughing Place? You know, those two sites that you get all your so-called insider information from?

Let's see how it turns out. It is sucks, then we ALL have the right to complain. If you don't like it (and I dare say your mind is already made up so you won't), then complain. But don't complain when you don't even know what is really getting done and how it will turn out. You, WE, may be pleasantly suprised. I may be disappointed like the rest of you that we aren't getting a major refurb, but, I am going to give it a chance once it opens, then judge.
