September 2009 Roll Call

Have you noticed that a large majority of folks listed on the WDW Magic Countdown are scheduled to go on trips in September?

I am! And I love going in September. What are your reasons for going in September?

Mine include less children / crowds, free dining, warm weather, and... hurricane paranoia

We've gone the past two Septembers and think it's great.

We're going 9/21 to 9/28

MNSSHP on 9/22

Hope to see lots of you there!

Let's hear it for all the September trips!

I am going September 13th - September 19th.
MNSSHP on September 15th
I like this time of year because there are less crowds then other times, but really the kicker this time was the free dining. I originally had planned to go in February because early February of 2007 had the least crowds I had ever experienced. I walked on to most everything. So that was the plan until the free dining came up. I have never experienced very many of the restaurants because of cost, so this is a dream come true for me to get to try some of them that I have always wanted to.
I also like the Halloween decorations.

HI friends..

I will be one of the many that will be making my annual 'pilgrimidge' this September. I have visited at this time of year for about 8 years and like it a lot, however the last couple of trips i have noticed a spike in the attendence. The 'Free Dining' offer no doubt the culprit.

Should be a nice time..i convinced three friends to ALSO visit at the same time i will be there which will be a nice change ( i am almost always alone). They are pretty pumped. I am too, but having visited this past January it will not really hit me until i land at MCO.

Hope to bump into some members there in the Parks!

I will be the one wearing my George Harrison t-shirts....

We've gone every September since our honeymoon there in 96' and love it!

Every year its seems like we go a bit later in the month, this year its Sept 25-Oct 3.....
We've noticed over the years due to certain Promos, free dining and such that its picked up a bit, but nowhere near the holiday craze.

yes we love sept!!!

We're going Sept. 22-Oct. 3rd staying at POR. We picked Sept because of the free dining. Never been this time of year before and are thinking of doing MNSSHP on Oct. 1st.

Have gone in mid-September for about 6 years. Love it! Lower crowds (except for dining), schools are in, a little better temperatures and we've had less rain actually than summer and we enjoy the Halloween decorations. Headed down this Sept. 19 - 26 and our first MNSSHP on the 22nd! Hate to wish my summers away but Come On WDW!

This will be my 3rd time in September (12 - 26th POFQ). We, like most others, go at this time as it is generally quieter as schools (in UK and USA) are back. We usually travel with kids and the weather is more bearable for them. Also I LOVE MNSSHP :sohappy:. Free dining is a bonus but, as said earlier, this is drawing the crowds and September seems to be getting a bit busier :brick:

We will be there from Sept 11th - the 20th and I am very excited, We had originally planned a trip for Oct but we changed it to Sept due to the Free Dining. I just could not pass it up. This will be our first time dining for free. We love using the dining plan and visiting the resorts too. We will be staying at POR along with my parents, who will be joining us for 5 days. My BFF and her children will be staying at POP for 9 nights too. It's their first trip so they are excited.

We went to Disney two years ago the very same week, w/o free dining, and we loved it. It was so hot & humid, but the lack of crowds was well worth it to me. :)

Looks like we will be there about the same time. We go from the 18-26. Also at MNSSHP on the 22 . We have gone only one other time during Sept. WE like the slower crowds.

We arrive on 9/22 and are staying at POP. This will be our first time going to WDW in Sept. I was actually not even planning a trip back to Disney Until 2010, as we were just there in Dec '08, but then I got a pin code for free dining back in January so I hopped on in! Am so very excited. We will be attending MNSSHP on 9/25!

Sept 19 - 21 ASMu suites. This is our very first September, we are moving DS to Winter Park and taking a few days at WDW before he starts classes and we head home. I'm really looking forward to seeing everything decorated for fall/halloween. We're bring DB for his first trip since 1976. We didn't do the free dining as we are going to get our annual passes while there and I think we missed the reservation window. I'm excited to see how things differ from Dec trips. Less than 90 days now. I have the dinner ADRs all booked on-line, boy was that a breeze.

Sept 18th - 23rd for us. First time staying in the POP as well.

Also the first time we are pulling our kids out of "school" for such an adventure.

"School" refers to Kindergarten.
