Wow....I really thought Pulp Fiction was required viewing for anyone to say they liked movies....:lookaroun
.

 Yep, I will honestly admit I have only seen parts of it...:lookaroun

... and those parts were FREAKING AWESOME.

Samuel Jackson with an afro and John Travolta with that long a** hair killing people makes a surprisingly great film.

I honestly don't think I have...

this should be good though!:D

You should at least see Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 before seeing a Tarantino movie. But then again, I've seen all his movies and you never quite know what you're gonna' get, aside from lots of dialogue.
 :sohappy:

Seriously though, go rent/buy Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2, one of my all time favorite films! Vol. 1 has great action, and you just can't beat the character work in the last one. Great, Great film the whole bloody affair.

Just wondering if there are any fellow home theater guys here. If so what kind of set up are you using. I've been putting my equipment together for about 3 years now. Piece by piece.

Also rented Watchmen on blu ray the other night and I think i'm the only one in the planet who liked it.

Another movie I enjoyed on DVD that has QT in it, but is not a movie that he directed, was "Sukiyaki Western Jango." A Japanese director and cast, but done in the style of a Spaghetti Western. Sounds crazy, but it worked really well and I loved it.

Same here, same here. Of all the crappy looking "comedies" to come out this summer, the actual best one got shunned.

Not a big fan of Cohen here. I enjoyed Borat mainly because he was so out of his element in America. It seemed like more genuine comedy. As for Bruno, most of it was uncomfortable for the people in the actual situations and most of it felt staged. Definitely not one I want to revisit. I am still itching to see the Hangover however.

Anyone ever see Four Rooms? Its a movie kinda like Grindhouse where different directors direct different segments. There are four of them and the first two were directed by a couple of no name indy directors and they're terrible but the second two were directed by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino and they're awesome! Not to mention hilarious.

Seen it and liked it.
Really looking forward to seeing what Rodriguez does with Machete. The cast looks...ummm...interesting, to say the least.

 I wonder what the rating will be. Shame that they don't get "Don't" and Werewolf Women of the SS" made.

It's a real shame that Rodriguez has been sticking to films like "Shorts" and "Sharkboy and Lavagirl" lately. Hopefully we get Sin City 3 to make up for that.

So, so, so disappointed with Funny People. I know what Apatow was trying to do, but it failed in my eyes.

Now, I can't wait for District 9.

Yeah, I agree. Such a strange directorial career, does kiddie movies at one point then does R rated gore fests the next. But I am seriously dying for Sin City 2. To be honest I'd prefer he made that first rather than Machete...

Its basically about a bellboy at a crummy old hotel played by Tim Roth as he has to deal with the antics of the people in four of the hotel rooms (each being a different segment).

Here's Rodriguez's segment "The Misbehavers":

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBRHTU8BEH8
Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdaKRwe_scE

And here's QT's segment "The Man from Hollywood":

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUz8aSISmws&feature=channel
Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JabSfywLng&feature=related

Enjoy! :D

That was really great, thanks for sharing. I'll have to pick that up if I ever see it to watch the other two. I love multiple directors films on one bill.
