Just thought I'd pass on some Magic Kingdom rumors I heard:

-Woody's Cowboy Camp and Family Fun Day Parade are going away.

I'm not suprised on woodys cowboy camp.. but family fun day parade? are there that many CMs working it that it needs to be cut, I saw it many times and the "tourists" seemed to like it.

Not too surprising there. This coincides with other rumors I've heard that WDW Entertainment is about to be slashed by a considerable margin.

Not suprising. I always thought the Family Fun Day Parade was a little on the lame side, and was simply a way to say that "My dream of being in a parade came true"....

Im really ready for the YOAMD2 to be over.

the family fun day parade was added as part of the year of a million dreams -- two years ago....- it was never meant to live on after the celebreation ends.

I still don't get all of these cutbacks, I know this Winter and Spring will be slow but the crowds have been smaller than they are now but whatever. Sad to see the Fun Parade go away, just another way to see Daisy, Clarabelle, and Horace but I guess they'll be going away.

Both of those shows were kind of annoying, so I'm not really upset to hear about their closing. However, I'm slightly upset about hearing of yet another cutback in a month where we've seen way too much get shortened, cancelled or closed. I wonder if this motivated bby the upcoming end of the YOMD or if it's just another cost-cutting move.

Right. It was only meant as something for the YOAMD. It was Disney's way of getting guests into a "parade" since not everyone gets to be in a parade unless you're picked as a Grand Marshal. Also, they already got rid of Let's Have A Ball so i'm not surprised that they're going to get rid of WCC and FFD. To be honest with you too, FFD is quite chaotic (especially during peak times). I guess we'll see what happens!

I always found those two the most annoying entertainment offerings at the MK, and I won't miss 'em. No one was clambering over one another for either, and it only makes sense that Disney might off less popular entertainment.

I think that next year's theme will be YOWLO (Year of What's Left Over;))

Ehh...no biggie. "The Year of a Million Dreams 2: Rasulo Revenge" is ending, so it seems only natural that offerings designed for this celebration would end.

My family LOVED Woody's Cowboy Camp. My wife and son were picked to be in the show and it was a major highlight to our trip.

I am very disappointed in this announcement.

Disney really seems to be slashing a lot of attractions that involve real people e.g. cutting Fantasmic to two shows a week, cutting Pocahontas and her Forrest Friends, cutting Woody's Cowboy Camp, cutting bus service.

I know Disney is a public company trying to keep the stock price up, but the strategy of charging MORE and providing LESS is never a good long term solution.

If the special touches that Disney is famous for begin to disappear, so will my family.

And many more like us.

What's this about cutting bus service?
