I need to talk it over with my roomie before committing but I'd like to get 2nd seating for dinner. I should list dinner rotations with the staterooms on the front page so everyone can see who is eating when.

Tammy, is there a way to get the group seated together or close by at each of the 2 dining rotations? How would that work if we have group people not booking through you? Do you see what I'm saying?

 At least you know I'm not an ax murderer.

He is so not coming in our room. But I would consider having him room with another guy friend or something on the ship. That was he could hang out and have guy time, yet still be able to enjoy the trip and not worry that I was having all the fun.:D

I do know you're not an axe murderer! Phew!!

We can all talk about seating! I'm up for whichever seating. I like early, but I can do late! We can definitely all be linked together. DCL will link huge groups before. They'll put them at a giant table or several right next to each other. We are usually at 2 or 3 tables when we have big groups. We rotate around every night so it's great fun!

If anyone doesn't book through KK, they just need to send me their confirmation numbers and I will get them linked up! If we got enough for a group discount, I can't help unless they book through us, but linking is no problem!

Wow, lots of action in the thread already, how exciting!!!

Welcome Lisa/Mkmommy and Pam (possibly). Yeah, the more the merrier!

Kelly (roomie), I'm fine with whatever dinner seating! My husband's a doc so we eat supper at all hours of the day at home... I'll just be excited to have someone serve me supper, supposing it's 12:00 at night!!!

When are y'all leaving on your WDW trip? I'll give ya a holler. I was wondering about you but wasn't sure with the craziness of the USMC plus everything with the kids, etc. I also had given thought to Wendy and a few others but just wasn't sure.... I'll call ya in a bit! :animwink:

I hope you can go. That's the beauty of having this thing sooooo far in the future. Lots of time to pay it off and/or cancel without penalty if something comes up. The key is to book as soon as you think you *might* be onboard because getting the deposit on the table locks in a good price before they start going thru the roof. Which happens by the hour nowadays! Ugh! :hammer:

i was checking out prices though and for right now you can count me in. just have to come up with my deposit. which like i said will probably not be til end of jan when taxes come back. (i will try for sooner, but i won't push that). i will be trying for a viranda room. when the time is here i will get in touch with you tammy.:D

thanks. i am pretty sure you can count me in. right now its just a matter of that deposit. i might beable to stash money away for the next 4 pay days. that should do the trick. so by the end of nov i should have it taken care of.

this sounds like fun.

Lots of action is EXACTLY what we are hoping for! I'm hoping our group gets big enough we can do fun things like meets and the ever-popular fish extender exchange!

We did main dining for our recent cruise and look at that as our learning experience. Main dining was like at 5-something so we had to cut whatever our afternoon activities were short at about 4:00 to get ready. And it seemed like every night we were in a mad rush to get to dinner on time. I think we were on time once, actually. The rest of the time we were slightly late. :lookaroun Just to keep from cutting into the afternoon we decided we should've done late seating. Tracey has heartburn and reflux issues which is why we didn't do late to begin with. He said from now on he'd just double- or triple-up his meds so he'd be able to sleep after a late dinner.

Also, if you have people you "know" via WDWMagic or if you think you might be confident aren't axe-murderers (<---that's a joke!) it will cut your costs if you can find a roommate or 2. Trust me, more people = lower price per stateroom! :animwink: The larger verandah rooms (299 sq. ft.) have 4 seperate beds: queen + upper pull-down (it's like a twin) + sofa conversion (also like a twin) + a murphy-style pull-down (another twin-like bed). No cuddle-buddies required! The room itself costs a little more but then it's split more ways reducing that cost! And lemme just say that the split bath configuration makes multiple roomies waaaaay more viable an option. Aaaaaand....when roomies are all adults if getting ready for dinner gets too nutty someone can always run up to the locker room for the spa and use the shower/dressing facilities there which are super-duper nice!

Just be aware that the smaller Verandah rooms can sleep 3 or 4 - Queen, couch conversion, and maybe upper pull down.

If you are counting on 3 people and three seperate beds, you may not get that.

They do that to me all the time (well 66% of the time). I go with my two kids, and specify "we are three people, but need the upper pull down" and twice they gave me a room that sleeps 3 - queen + sofa. That means one of the kids sleeps with me in the Queen. Not much of a problem when it's a 8 y/o kid, but two adult guys, not so much fun.

hubby just came home for lunch. i told him about this. he is ok with it. although he says since its so far out "what happens when its closer and he changes his mind? he was laughing when he said this. so its ok.

i can say "unofficially" i'm there.

i'll hopefully be taking late night seating for dinner. we had that back on the feb trip. i would hate to have early. i did not like anything during that 5-6 hour. i love that 5-6 time frame for watching the sail away and leaving ports.

You are exactly right, Dave. They're stingy with those rooms with extra beds sometimes.

Yay, Louella!! We are your witnesses if he forgets the laughing part when it gets closer!

I'm good with late seating if that's what everyone wants. We are early eaters at home, but I can do late for a few days. It's not like there won't be any food to snack on while we wait for late dining.:D

Ok, I'll be honest I had to look up the fish extender thing! :o What a cute idea! I'm already dreaming up (love using that pun now) what I'd like to make and purchase to hand out as little gifties!

My kids love being part of a FE group, and people are so creative.

You would be surprised what the favorite gift has been though. We did a cruise 2 summers ago out of Dover and Union Jack socks were received, I had to throw them out last week and my daughter was so sad "they were my favorite gift"

What is it??

It's organized by another board. I can send you the link if you like crush. It's a group of people on the same sailing and they organize a gift exchange of sorts. You hang something on the fish outside your door so people can put gifts in it during the cruise. Thus the word fish extender. If you look on ebay you will actually see "fish extenders". You agree to give gifts to everyone on the list of participants. Some gifts are homemade, some are very practical, some are alcohol, there's a lot of different things! It's fun!
