Thanks, y'all. Chandler voted longer, too. He's usually my go-to when it comes to clothes. In fact, he helped me pick out the shoes for the dress. @Sans Souci , those are some comfy Nine West short heels that I got at DSW. I wanna say they were $45??? They're not plastic! They're more a soft maybe faux leather or real leather? Not sure. They have some give so I don't feel like my feet are throbbing stumps in these. I'm in love with the dress, too! It's a silk blend Lilly I got (used) off eBay for like $40. I'm taking it to the cleaners prob'ly tomorrow. Have to wear it next Friday night to a wedding. Will bring it with me to have cleaned onboard the Fantasy when I get there.

BTW, dry cleaning and pressing prices on the ships are not terrible at all. They're quite reasonable, actually. It's not at all like WDW's prices for these services. ;)

Do ya think a simple white 3/4 sleeve sweater with pearl-ish buttons over the shoulders would look too school-marm with it? I doubt I'll get cold at the wedding or reception next week but think I might need something for anniversary Remy dinner on the Fantasy.

Yeah I just saw that. Perfect timing!
And @joanna71985 I think meeting everyone is going to be the best part of the whole trip!
In 2009 I went to my first & only Cabbage Patch collectors annual convention/event. Every year for 10 years I wished I could go. It was the biggest deal of the year. The best, most sought-after special edition dolls were there to pick from. Its the thing the whole online collector community revolved around. And for 10 years I dreamed and wished...then finally I got my big chance. I went to Spring Event! Well, for the 1st time the artists who hand-stitched the dolls made quite drastic changes to the appearance. I thought and still do think those event dolls looked really weird. I kid you not, the faces look like Muppets! So, all those years of wishing...all the anticipation...the daydreams of being in THE room able to hand-pick from a couple hundred of the most primo dolls of all...and they were hideous. I can't describe the despair. To say my heart was broken is an understatement, cliche as all heck to boot. It was literally a nightmare. I was a 34 year old woman sitting in a room full of long-time (internet) friends as well as strangers sobbing like a child. Yes, I cried like a broken down little kid. Bawled. Buuuut, the trip to Georgia and the experience of being there is what I remember most. The dolls were terrible. I didn't buy not 1 of them. I went with a load of cash to blow on several and brought all that moolah back home to the bank. No, what stands out to me was the fun of meeting friends finally! My roomie & I had a blast! We hopped about our hotel going room to room visiting with other friends and having fun. We had a best pajamas contest. There was a brownie bake-off. The purpose of going, the dolls, was a total bust beyond my worst nightmares. But I can honestly say I had a wonderful time and don't regret having gone for a second. The friends and fun made the trip for me. I'll never forget it!
