So what if I book a dummy cruise and then it never happens? Do I get the deposit back or lose it?

Still trying to talk the husband into cruising in the future...I think I'm making progress!

You can either get a refund of the deposit before the penalty period or move the dummy to another distant dummy date. That's what I just did.

I always add more dummy bookings. We've got 1 floating. At the end of Sept we'll have 3.

Wow! I wish I could do that! I have my fingers crossed to book for next fall (the 7-nights on the Magic are calling my name). But I would love to book a Med for 2015.

I am planning on booking onboard, talked it up to my in laws last weekend. In laws aren't going for Med, I can guarantee that, but like @Sans Souci , if I could get the hubs to go...We'll see...maybe WDWMagic Med Cruise??

Yes, that's the one we just did! Amazing.

I always rebook onboard. If there is ANY chance you will do a Med cruise, especially do it. That savings on a Med cruise really adds up.

Just did my on-line check in for AOA after the cruise. On one hand, it's pretty exciting to be going back to WDW. On the other hand, checking in there means the cruise is over, and I know that is going to go by way to fast!

Can't wait! Trying to finish up my FE gifts today and do some last minute shopping! Only 5 days left of work!

I'm almost finished packing! My "Disney" bag - that I plan to not open until the ship. My "Arrival at Disney World part 1" bag - what I'm wearing to the airport + my carry on. And my "Parents House" bag - packed with essentials for living there for 4 1/2 days. I was supposed to leave today but I totally spaced out that tomorrow is Labor Day and Bill will actually have a day off - so hopefully we can spend a little time together.

I'm quite nervous I'll forget something at my house and have to have Bill mail it to my parents or something! EEK! So excited!! It's almost here!

I shipped my FE gifts & FE out yesterday. Always a little nerve racking to let go of the box and put it in someone else's hands. If something happens to the box I'm so royally screwed. I know that. So every time I ship one I have my ball of nerves to contend with. Then on embarkation day I fight the nerves until my box reappears.

Ohhhh that would make me so nervous too! My gifts are lightweight and fairly flat so they shouldn't take up much space in my luggage!

Speaking of luggage, I'm working on packing. I know everyone is different... I'm thinking I'm bringing a casual outfit for each day and then a dress for each night. Is that kind of what everyone else is planning?

I totally forgot about Labor Day, too! Threw a huge monkey wrench into my planning! All along I was thinking my perfect day to ship my FE stuff was Monday. Uh, nope. No postal on Monday. Tuesday would cut it too close on the timing. So then it was a mad dash for my proscrastinating self to get the gifts finished, pack the box, label everything, and get it shipped out yesterday morning. And I thought I was gonna completely stroke-out when the first post office Tracey ran me by didn't open on Saturday mornings. Went to the UPS place. They didn't open on Saturdays. I was dying! Ran to another USPS location and, thankfully, they were open. Long line but they were open. Bless my darling husband for being so patient and running me all over the place on his day off. LOL!

Speaking of, until this weekend Tracey has been getting 1 day off every 14 days. Imagine our shock when he found out last week he'd have a full 3-day weekend! Soooooo, all the stuff I had mentally been telling myself I'd get done this weekend is on hold. Not complaining. The boys can just start school a few days later. I'll get packed eventually. It's nice to have some time together finally. And tomorrow we're totally going to Schlitterbahn! Woot! My color is actually un-pastey now. Yay!

My gifts are heavy. At $36 to ship the box it's still cheaper than an overweight suitcase plus I don't have to carry that weight with me. $36 well spent!
