Question: Does anyone know how much the photo CD is that you can purchase from Shutters? And, is it worth it? I've read it's upwards of $300!! Not sure it would be worth it on a 4 night voyage. Are you able to just buy prints individually? Anyone know the price on those?

Also, not sure if I want to bring my DSLR onto Castway Cay. I know we're in the cabana so we will have privacy and I'm not really worried about anyone sneaking into our cabana and stealing it... Do any of you gals with the fancy schmancy DSLRs bring yours onto CC with you?

Totally off-topic & unrelated...

...but I'm going to Schlitterbahn today. That is all.

Color me jealous - Schlitterbahn is on my bucket list - no joke. Bill has family in Texas and we always talk about visiting them and I agree...as long as we visit Schlitterbahn. Have fun!! I'll be packing/cleaning the house today!

I'm definitely bringing mine! That's part of the reason why I'm planning on going back to the ship to change after the 5K :D

Way to rub it in Kelly! hehe

Not a cloud in the sky! In less than 2 hours we hit the family raft slides 3 times, the water coasters 3 times, and made 4 laps if the river including the waves. Laying out to dry. About to head home to work on my FE gift some more. Think we'll come back tomorrow.

BTW, floating on the river I told Brian: "In under 2 weeks I'll be doing this in Atlantis." Tomorrow I can say 2 weeks 'til I (may) float the TL river....

The CD's are crazy expensive. I believe $299 for a 4 night cruise. Are they worth it? It depends on how many pictures you have made. If you have 50 pictures you love that's not bad! If you only have 10, then that's crazy. :)

I will definitely bring mine. I always do, but the fact that we have cabanas makes it even easier.

OMG, my camera! I still have the pics from Scotland and DLP from last fall that I need to clean off the SD card. I use my phone as a camera so much that I never even gave the regular camera a thought. And I thought I was doing so good and keeping ahead of myself......duh!

I tink we will pick and choose like 2-3 we like and just get those printed. I guess it all depends how much you use it. We go crazy with photopass pictures at the parks. So paying the $149 for photopass+ on our last trip was a no brainer. I think we had 320 pics when we were all said and done.

Yes, if you get a ton done, it's worth it! You can decide later in the cruise too, after you see how many you have!

@derelicte19 , there's no price break or anything by pre-purchasing the photo cd so at least you don't have to feel like that's a decision you have to make now and hope it was a good one. ;) We typically get to the last night of the cruise then go count how many pics we like in our folio. If it's enough to offset the price of the CD we'll do it. But, we don't run around doing the photo ops the way we used to so that rarely happens anymore. The photos are like $20 per sheet. A "sheet" is a single 8x10 or two 5x7s. The two 5x7s have to be the same picture. You can't get 2 different ones on 1 sheet. We usually buy a few 8x10s then do high-res scans at home. ;)

@Disneyfalcon a boarding question for you. When I first did on-line check-in, I had to check that I would be responsible for my roommate's charges before I could check in. I just went back in to change it, and now both Courtney's and my name is on the signature sheet. Does that mean we both have to sign one paper, or will she get her own too?

I think everyone registered in each stateroom is on the signature sheet that you print/sign. Doesn't matter who has what charging privileges. When we print then for cruises with the boys they each have to sign, too.

I don't think I'm even going to print mine prior to going. In May I dropped ours between the seat & console of the truck. Couldn't find it. Got to the check-in desk and they said it was not a problem at all. They printed the signature firm & we signed on the spot. :D
