It's still pretty hot down here... in a couple of weeks I'm going to drive up to Sedona for the day and get a taste of fall :)

I love Sedona! I wouldn't mind moving there just for Coconino alone. :)

Yayyyyyyyyyy!!! Kudos to you sir for starting a Fall season fan thread. I love fall and winter. Can't get enough of that crisp cold air. Especially when you take a deep breath and it just chills you inside out. Makes you feel alive!!

I only wish we had light snow here in San Francisco. Nothing major. Just enough to dust everything in nice powder. Check out this pic of TDL castle with snow!! What's not to love? :sohappy: :sohappy:

I'm with you on everything in this post. Nothing I know is as invigorating as breathing in deeply on a cool day.

And while I appreciate having never had to dig out from under 3 feet of white stuff in my life, a few flurries here and there would be just fine with me. :)

Fall = a break from this blistering heat, if only for a week (it seems). Sign me up. And I love pie, too.

Walt Disney World in the fall is a treat. And thanks for the great photo, cherrynegra -that made my day. Or at least my hour. :)

Another Fall lover here!

I love the crispness in the air, the beautiful colors and its the start of apple pie season!
Yes I know there is no law that says you can't make apple pie all year long, but I only seem to make them in the fall.

We hit around 90 today in Orlando. Though I do like the colors of Fall, and the extreme cold of late October in New Hampshire did help my wife and I get together, I'm perfectly fine with avoiding the cold and running away from Massachusetts to live where it's considerably warmer.

Tomorrow is the first day of October, and that means fall is officially here! It's still pretty warm here, but October's arrival means cooler weather should be just around the corner.

October to December is my favorite time of year. I love the nip in the air after five months of baking in the Georgia sun. I love the seasonal autumn smells and colors. I enjoy all 3 holiday seasons (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). I like how I can watch football and FEEL like it's football season. I like how the weather is just right, in between the blistering heat and the more chilly (if relatively mild) weather that visits these parts.

For my money, there's no time of year better.

Any other Fall Fans? :D

I SOOOOOOO agree with you and the other fall fans !!! I am primarily a winter person. But I love the arrival of fall when the leaves start falling, thiers a cold nip in the air and the morning air seems to have that special "smell" to it. Did that last part make sense ??

As for summer....I have absolutely NO USE for it. If summer never came again it wouldn't bother me one bit.

Yes, I know what you mean. The air has a special smell, it seems, when things cool off. I can't really describe it, but it's great. :)

I prefer the latter half of fall, these first few weeks are two volatile. One day it's nice and cool in the 50, the next it's back up to 90. It drives me crazy.

UGH... I hate fall. It just depresses me.

And today is the first day I've felt that gross cold feeling on my skin... and I've started to wear a sweater at night...

It's just a reminder that winter's coming soon and that means even colder temperatures and snow... ick ick ick.

I hate how my feet and fingers are constantly cold.

And I'm constantly sick. I can already feel the tickle in my throat coming.

Yet more reasons why a move south is needed.

I agree!! I hate cold weather, I always get sick when the weather changes and when I open my windows. I opened my windows the first day of fall and woke up with sore throat  Now I'm losing my voice and I sound funny and my chest hurts........but I'm getting better :) I still hate cold weather though because then I spend time under the blankets and wrapped up and I can't walk around barefoot and I get fatter because I eat and then sit on my butt under the covers because its too cold to do anything  aaaaaannnndddddddd I'm spent. Goodnight
