Yes, I know what you mean. The air has a special smell, it seems, when things cool off. I can't really describe it, but it's great. :)

It's pie smell. :) :lookaroun

Oh! And next Friday I get to drive for the 1st/2nd grade field trip to the pumpkin patch/apple orchard farm. Should be fun. :dazzle: 8:30 to 2:45. AND we have to pay $6.50 for an apple and a pumpkin. :veryconfu What's up with that!? I do think that cider and donuts are involved, so it's all worth it. :slurp:

OOOOOH Add cider and donuts to the pie smell. :slurp:  :lookaroun

I too love the Fall (or Autumn as we say in England) for these reasons.....

I have very pale skin and can't tan so when the weather cools down I don't have to worry about getting sunburn

The colours of the season are soooo pretty

My birthday is in November

Christmas is just around the corner

Its the time of year we usually go to WDW

Oh and I am getting married 2 weeks today!!!!!!! so I will have an autumn wedding anniversary

Yes I am!!!
(after a lot a planning and hassle that went with it)
just hope the weather holds up!
The day will be perfect regardless! That's the funny thing about weddings... no matter how much goes wrong, it's always "just right" :)

Hey, guys! I hope I am not to late to join this conversation, because it's just one of my favorite topics!!!

Well, my point of view regarding the Oct-Dec seasons is a bit different from yours, as seasons are opposite here and there... It's generally hot here, but I like when it's boiling hot because it feels like December. Here, spring has just arrived and Christmas comes with the hot Brazilian summer. And Santa wears the same suit he wears up there!!! I keep looking at those guys at the malls and thinking about how hard it must be... Many people even decorate their Xmas trees with fake snow flakes, and all Xmas decorations are winter-like.

Halloween parties get better and better each year, in spite of the angry patriots who try to establish more "brazilian-like" holidays. There are even some who wear t-shirts that say: "F**k Halloween!!! Let's praise brazilian culture!!!"

Thanksgiving doesn't exist here. Many people don't even know what it is. That's why I've been going to Orlando in November/December now, to try to experience Thanksgiving.

I agree with you, Wilt Dasney! I just love it when the calendar turns October!!!!! :sohappy:

 That's so funny!!! People here are starting to worry about such things now! Well, here in Rio de Janeiro, they actually worry about such things the whole year, as we can get very high temperatures, like 90-ish, even during the winter. As I rarely go to the beach, I don't worry about bikinis very much. I'm gonna travel in the end of the month, and I'll have to borrow a bikini, because I don't even have one!

Although we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK, we get Guy Fawkes Night on November 5th. Another great reason for autumn!

Will someone tell the weather gods here in San Diego that it's fall? It's 90 degrees right now.

Same here in Kalamazoo Michigan. It was like 50 five days ago, then all of a sudden it turned 80 within one day, and it's supposed to be like this tomorrow too. Gotta love Michigan weather  It will probably be snowing in a couple weeks  (seriously, I remember a day in the winter last year when people were out doing yard work and mowing their lawns, and then it snowed like 6 inches that same day.)

Oh, and I love the fall weather too, or at least what's supposed to be fall weather. The 40 - 50 or 60 degree weather with the wind blowing in your face, I love it!

Ugh... we had a few days of comfortable weather, but it's supposed to be back up to 90 today! *curses the Santa Anas*

Yeah, here too. We had some cold days last week, with lots of rain and everything (25ºC, that's cold for us), but today we are back to 35-38ºC. How much is that in Farenheit?

If I did the conversion properly thats about 95 - 100F.

Right now we have 75F (23.8C ) which is a beautiful fall day for us. :sohappy:

You know, I actually remember that one day... I was out mowing the lawn, I think, then it turned about 5 degrees south every hour... yeesh.

I love extreme weather, so I love those brief-but-powerful Florida storms. Fun to track!

It's supposed to get down to 55 and rainy by Friday. :hurl:
