Wow, that looks great. I especially love the old Imagination symbol being included. Thanks for the pictures!
Actually, if you go through an old forum about the retro merchandise you'll learn it's been developed because there's a new person creating the Epcot merchandise for the past 2 years or so. His name was listed but I won't rehash that information as it's kind of private information. Not that it matters...as long as new cool stuff keeps coming!
While the marketing of products is a major factor, I agree in saying that Disney underestimated the strength, if not loyalty of the fan base, but their decision to overhaul to the pavilion is one based more on ride popularity, attendance and overall appeal of the current state of the pavilion (for general guests as well as for the fans). What will be done is meant to appeal to the largest audience.
By the way, for those of you that are fans of the old journey ride I'm sure most of you already know.....BUT, track from the old ride is still underneath the new queue line and new imageoworks and in fact.... you can actually see it!
I'm not a fan of the $25 shirts, but this is pretty sweet. If I were only a girl, I'd hop right on it. I just can't wear a shirt with a fuzzy guy tickling his loveable fellow.
Let`s just say the track is not under the floor area. The track bed however is, along with the rotating show scene infrastructure - though it will never rotate again.Sorry jerm, i honestly don't, please explain...
Holy Flurking Schnitt!
That is all.
