I got two more.
Don't eat before viewing any of these....

Contrary to the bandwagon of people who rip on Stitch because a select few in the know don't like him, I personally think and have always thought that a Stitch overlay to Space Mountain could be really fun. I'd have much prefered it to what they did to Alien Encounter. Space Mountain is one of the only logical places I could see Stitch fitting without getting a fully custom built ride from the ground up.

Ok, so THAT wasn't a great idea...but I still want to see some concept art from the Superior idea: PIGS IN SPACE MOUNTAIN.
 :sohappy:

Typically, when people attempt jokes on here, they just come off as exceptionally lame.

But, I gotta hand it to you here Servo, VERY clever. I laughed out loud, which I don't do often reading message boards.

I must say... I actually really like that concept art. Now, I wouldn't want it to replace Space Mountain, but I think it looks a lot better than SGE.

Sorry I cant get excited by the prospect of loosing a major attraction for over a year, theres less to do mow than on our first visit 15 years ago.

One attraction closed versus everything that has been added across property in the past 15 years equates to "less to do now"? Really?

I mean I suppose if Space Mountain was *the only thing* you rode 15 years ago.... But if that were the case, why would you ever come back?

Actually it was a real project for Disneyland's Space Mountain a long time ago...

I think. Maybe I'm just making up memories again.

In the MK? Do the math. It adds up :(

Lee.... you`ve upset the poor people with tonights art. Tut tut.

I love how Eisner got all panicky about spending after EDL... we all know why it cost $5 billion don`t we??

- thankfully.

Instead of trying to be a smart you may have read the post properly and noted I was referring purely to the number of attractions available in the MK. Given the refurb takes out one of the biggest draws and TTA that puts pressure on the other attractions.

Your hilarious by the way.

Actually, the post is vague, but whatever. Just a misunderstanding. Now, I'm not so excited about losing the ride for 1 year+, but I think everyone here can agree that the ride sorely needs the TLC.

I was hardly trying to be a "smart ". I was simply pointing out that much has happened across property in the past 15 years. One attraction being closed is not less overall, because from 15 years ago there's still more to do. Or do you really want us to believe you're coming to Florida and not going to any of the other three theme parks on the trip?

I really hope that they end up bringing back the creativity in Tomorrowland. MILF has definitely got to be moved somewhere else and SGE needs to be replaced. I really wish that they hadn't gotten rid of The Timekeeper or Alien Encounter.:mad:

I'd be thrilled to lose the ride for even longer. The thing is, people who have this undying longing for WDW's Space Mountain likely have not ridden any of the other incarnations of the ride to know how *good* it *can* be. The longer it's down, the more likely we are to have a *very* solid attraction that will stand the test of time. You have to give a little to get a little, and in the case of Space Mountain's closure, giving a little could potentially get a *lot* when it's done.

I'll also say this - be it taken popular or not. While we did not know specific dates, we've known for quite some time that Space Mountain would be closed for a very large chunk of 2009 at the very least. Anyone that reads the boards here would have seen that. If Space Mountain is that important to you (and while I disagree, there's nothing wrong with a difference in opinion) there was ample opportunity to prepare accordingly and not plan a trip in 2009. I get that missing your favorite attraction on a vacation can be disappointing- but this is nothing similar to the Disneyland instance in which the decision to close the ride happened literally overnight six months before the announced date. Even official word has given ample time to plan ahead for trips, but again, long before the official dates dropped, everyone pretty much knew the odds of the ride being closed by mid-2009 were very, very high for more than a year now.

I have a few suggestions for where they can stick Laugh Floor... :zipit:
