They do what is asked... though you can`t help this part of Living Character was more a technology looking for a product instead of the usual format.

20 years? Optimist :D

Why did they even build/propose laugh floor if they realized it was a poor concept?? Now were gonna be stuck with it for the next 20 years until it breaks down.

What makes you think they would replace/close it if it broke down?

You know, I've never been impressed by the whole "Living Character Initiative." I've always thought that it was a big waste of money. Sure its kinda cool that you can "interact" with Crush, and I guess kids get a kick out of it, but eh, I'd be more content to see Crush in the form of a roller coaster based on the EAC rather than on a screen.

This is my first post here (been lurking for a few months but didn't want to post until I'd been to WDW...just got back last week from my first visit in ten years...live in AZ now, used to live in FL and went all the time between '75 (age 3) until '85, then several times in the '90s) but after riding Space Mountain again they need to do one of two things. Blow up the building or gut the whole thing. I don't even care if the track is the exact same layout and speed as it is now, but the themeing part of it is in such a sorry state that its an embarrassment. That and the fact that I felt like I'd been in a bar fight after getting off of the ride, which is just ridiculous for a ride that goes 23 mph. I hope whatever they do to it lives up to the name Space Mountain, because what's there now does not. The speedramp exit area is so depressing now, plus all the effects from however long they've been there...just sad.
I know this has all been said before, but just wanted to post my POV.
Oh, and MILF is horrible. Just horrible, but not as bad as SGE. My wife and I and even my 5-year old daughter just looked at each other through the whole ride with expressions on our faces. Even my five year old said "That was boring. I don't like Stitch anymore."
Oh, and by the way...5-year old daughter's favorite ride...Tower of Terror! Woohoo! We even got to ride it twice in a row because the CM who let us off the ride saw how excited she was they sent us back up the little elevator to ride again. Good times!

No never happen. They need to theme it to 1950's rock n roll and install a 1950's early 1960's Hollywood land.

Soooooooo, I don't know about you guys but, I would take stitch mountain if it meant we could have saved Alien Encounter!

I wouldn't be against a stitch attraction but replacing Alien Encounter or Space Mountain? Those are both terrible ideas in my opinion. Changing Space Mountain would be such a disappointment. It's a classic especially since it's the first Space Mountain. I just don't understand what the whole deal is with Stitch. He is everywhere but was Lilo and Stitch really that popular of a movie?

He moves merchandise! The movie was popular enough to hold several direct to DVD films and a cartoon series.

Also, I don't like the ide of stitch mountain but AE was my favorite ride and I would give anything to bring it back. Back when I still wanted to be an Imagineer I wanted to revive the ride at studios using the creature from Alien!

The LCI is much like any gimmick that WDI comes up with these days ... (and we can go back 20 years with this mindset) ... you get a technology that is kewl and allows you to do many different things in the 80s and early 90s it was simulators for instance ... and they forget that what should always come first is story.

Once you have a story to tell you then find a method (technology ... format ... ride system) that best is able to tell that tale.

That's not how WDI works these days ... especially on WDW projects.

It's more 'we need to justify this technology that we've spent XX years and XX millions developing or we'll be out of jobs, where can we stick it' ... or 'we need to sell (fill in the blank with any character or franchise) merchandise so where can we stick an attraction based upon said character/franchise?'

Now we have Turtle Talk and MILF and Stitch (in HKDL and DSP and soon, in some form at MK) because LCI is what one powerful clique in Glendale wants to shove down the throats of visitors.

I'm not that impressed.

Welcome ... and thanks for the post.

You have a perfect grasp of the current state of the MK's T-Land.

Suck down two grams of pixie dust while listening to the High School Musical soundtrack and by morning you should think everything is just magical and never better!
