So do we know currently whether or not they have reached out to Vekoma yet?
You'd assume after two years they would know exactly where each nut and bolt will go let alone who's going to pitch for the ride system....

Hmmm I would be even slightly surprised if we got I-ride, because I could see Burbank not even wanting to splash the cash for that.
I don't know why but these days although I have Uni that I know I enjoy, I can't get excited to go to Florida with only two parks blossoming and 4 stuck sinking in the swamp.

Not to get completely off-topic but at one of these D23 expos, can some "mommy blogger" (as folks like to call them) finally just step up to the plate and pretty much let them know what these issues are, in front of everyone? Call them totally out? I guess no one wants to be 'that person'. Heaven forbid you lose a freebie. (I seriously wouldn't expect this ... just saying, lol)
That being said, I'm sure all the suits are well aware of the issues. I can't even imagine the mess that is the WD Company. Well, from what's posted here, I CAN imagine and all I do is shake my head.

If that truly is the ride system, I could see them doing a daytime version and nighttime version (more thrilling).

Not that the ride would not exceed with those going to Walt Disney World, but I think what Disney is doing more than that and is trying to increase the gate, just like Universal did with Harry Potter. I can name a lot of my family and friends that went to Universal for no other reason than to see the Harry Potter "land". If the next movie is a hit, I think the movie franchise will build a following and that following will go to Walt Disney World to walk into the world of Avatar. While there they will visit other parks, eat meals and stay at Disney resorts. The one thing Disney has going is the plan for 3 new Avatar films in the works, while no more Harry Potter anything is planned outside the parks at this time.

Martin, what do you think about those blueprints that leaked a while ago showing a 4-screen Soarin 2.0 and a boat ride?
Makes me nervous as that would align to the artwork which also shows flying on a banshee (Soarin 2.0) and a boat ride. Also seems to fit TDO's MO of amazing immersive environments but no substance. I've not seen new FLE in person, but it looks impressive (especially once the mine mountain finishes), but without any true E-ticket experience, it misses the mark. Like, if TDA built the Cadillac mountain range and then just put a motion simulator in the showbuilding. Fortunately, Carsland is immersive AND has an amazing E-ticket. Although, hard to blame TDO when the craptastic Soarin 1.0 (over Californina, which makes no sense) pulls 120+ minute waits. But, that could be more a symptom of a dying park with nothing to do instead of a great attraction, IMO.

I may be in the minority but Im more excited about the boat ride than anything else lol, when was the last time Disney had a new boat ride? Splash Mountain 1992? (thats not even really a boat ride but a log flume) That is if the boat ride even still happens. Hoping it does even if the concept art may be over exaggerated. Like I said before had it gone to TDSea it would be phenomenal, but in TDO's hands/Burbanks hands and or Imagineerings egos, sensing a watered/scaled down version. But maybe Cameron will keep his foot down on it.

This is exactly what I am feeling too! On one hand I am super excited based off the concept art and how brilliant the land can be. On the other, I am seeing them cutting back and scaling down to meet budget! I don't want this to happen. Hopefully Cameron will put his foot down and make them go through with the plans! who know at this point!
However I am also more excited for the boat ride. I think this ride will really be something to see is its done right. A peaceful journey in a boat through the nighttime bioluminescent jungles of Pandora. It will be something to see that's for sure!

Nope.
I loved it for the epic visual feast it was.
Saw it i think five times in IMAX...as well as twice for the re-release a few months later.
Very much looking forward to seeing how the Pandorian themed elements translate into a theme park environment.
Looking even more forward to experiencing them.

Forgot about that one.
From what has been talked about in the past, i have full confidence the main E will be very immersive and unique. Time will tell.
You have to admit it has been a heck of a ride already trying to keep up with all the changes this project has gone through over the dozen or so months.
Would make for a swell tv movie...
