August 2011 Roll Calls

So I will say this if there is already an August roll call in progress , I appologize, direct me there! I did search an came up empty!

So I am starting this one! We're all booked , staying at our Home DVC resort SSR!!! Going with my Babe , two girls , Nephew and wife. Our Nephew has'nt been back to Disney since 2006 so there's lots of new stuff for him and his wife to see !
We'll be there the 20th -27th.
I have'nt been to disney in August since 2000 , we've always done September , but with our Oldest in middle school, way to much work for her to play make up!
But thats ok, we're still getting our fix!
Anyone else hop on August Roll call!!


And yes I'll take the Heat and humidity any day over crowds!!

35 Days

We have just 35 days left before we make our first trip to Disney. The anticipation is building and I know we will have a great time. I have all of our Dining Reservations made, itinerary planned and passports ready. Just 34 more sleeps.

Hi! I just got my Magical Express tags and booklet today, but that was it...no docs, coupon book or luggage tags....My question to you is... Do they come separate?? Thanks

I can't answer that. Mine came all together from my travel agent - but I'm not sure if she got them at the same time. :shrug: I would check with whomever you booked the trip with.

in a mere 6 weeks from today i head out for the mouse's house with my crew of 7. i'm taking my parents as their 80th birthday present. little did i realize they would choose the hottest time of the year- don't they know they're 80?!
even better, my kids -DD and SIL- and THEIR kids have attached themselves to our trip.
here we go- from 7 months old to 80 years old- all in one trip. should be a challenge.
but i am sooooo grateful to have parents healthy enough to do disney at 80! thank you Lord!

When we went back in December...ours came complete with everything-i.e. tags, booklet, etc. Another poster noted getting everything from their travel agent, but we used an agent last trip and I know ours came separately. i.e. our travel agent sent us our package materials separately from everything that arrived for DME.

Just came across this. We will be at Pop from 8/20 to 8/27. First time on property and so looking forward to it. Hoping the weather isn't too hot and crowds too heavy! :cool:

crowds shouldn't be that big. most florida schools at last are back in school starting the 22nd...as for hot...sorry it's august in florida so be ready to put your resort pool to some much needed use.

In the mail Friday was out Magical Express packet. Then on Saturday came the coupon book, luggage tags. All set to go now. Just have to wait 33 more days.

Thanks. I agree with someone earlier that its seems not so hot when on vacation compared to being at home.

It varies, there has been trips that I received everything at once... But on our Dec 2010 trip we first got the packet from DME, then a few weeks later we got a seperate packet with the luggage tags, coupons and vouchers
