I really hated to see Brooke go tonight because she seems to be such a sweet person, but I was kind of ready. I just felt sorry for her.

Oh, it's most definitely the teen girl vote keeping Jason in. No doubt about it. And truthfully, he's not attractive at all! So I don't get it!

I think clearly the two David's are beyond everyone... and Syesha is actually inching closer... I think she's put on two fantastic shows (although her first song last night was really boring :snore... but last week and last night, two good shows with the up-tempo songs...

Exactly. No wonder the ratings are dropping a little bit. We need more modern songs. Don't get me wrong, I love some good "classic" tunes, but throw in something from this decade everyone once in a while!

I actually agree. How can you harp on song choice when it's actually a very limited catalog to choose from. There are only so many Neil Diamond songs to choose from. I agree that they need to go back to more widespread choices.

I think Brooke's day had come, but I think Jason's day should have come first. Hmmmph. Jason's day should have come about 3 weeks, but whatever. :lookaroun

I miss the days where the theme coincided with the mentor but wasn't only from their songbook, i.e. Martina McBride last year. Country nite-but not all Martina songs. Same with Gwen Stefani. I don't remember the exact theme when she mentored, but I know it wasn't "Gwen Stefani nite." I like Neil Diamond as much as the next guy but a) his songs are pretty obscure and unless you pulled a David Cook and modernized them, you were only singing karaoke *cough David Archuletta cough* and b) he didn't have THAT many rockin', recognizable songs.

How embarassing, and it does kind of prove that the guy has an ego. I still kind of like him though, but I'm just saying. Oh and it seems like the producers are definately ensuring that he stays by picking "rock week."

I was so upset last night. Brooke shouldn't have gone before Jason. I thought Jason or Syesha would go first. I loved Brooke! Her personality and all - loved it since the tryouts! I cried with her. (well, teared up) Felt so bad for her. I knew she wouldn't go all the way, but I didn't think it was her time. Well, I guess I'll root for David C now.

OMG! I noticed that and thought the same thing!!! I was like...haha!


Oh and the themes were picked way before the week that they perform them, I believe. (At least they usually are)
