That bubble structure didn't last long, and it really didn't fit the architecture of the pavilion. I like the "mini" pyramid. To be honest, I don't really remember the bubble structure even back in our trip in 1982.
I agree. However, there were quite a few Hidden Mickey's in the bubble structure that would've been fun to look for.
I'm pretty sure I've seen pics with little colored plaques in it.
And I agree. The Mini Pyramids are nicer- it' finishes the pavilions motif off very nicely.
I'll have to look at my "archives." I'm not sure I've seen them with plaques. Seems counter intuitive for a sculpture that's going to get wet. More cleaning, if you ask me.
Not saying you're incorrect, I just don't recall....but then again, my brain gets fuzzy from time to time. :lookaroun :lol:
For one thing, I thought the bubble structure looked cool from what I have seen in old photographs. And at night. :animwink:
Of course, the mini-pyramid is a perfect replacement as well.
I do hope that pics of the coloured mini-pyramid surface. I do recall seeing purple somewhere there...
