That bubble structure didn't last long, and it really didn't fit the architecture of the pavilion. I like the "mini" pyramid. To be honest, I don't really remember the bubble structure even back in our trip in 1982.

I agree. However, there were quite a few Hidden Mickey's in the bubble structure that would've been fun to look for. :)

I'm pretty sure I've seen pics with little colored plaques in it.

And I agree. The Mini Pyramids are nicer- it' finishes the pavilions motif off very nicely.

I'll have to look at my "archives." I'm not sure I've seen them with plaques. Seems counter intuitive for a sculpture that's going to get wet. More cleaning, if you ask me.

Not saying you're incorrect, I just don't recall....but then again, my brain gets fuzzy from time to time. :lookaroun

For one thing, I thought the bubble structure looked cool from what I have seen in old photographs. And at night. :animwink:

Of course, the mini-pyramid is a perfect replacement as well. :)

I do hope that pics of the coloured mini-pyramid surface. I do recall seeing purple somewhere there...

LOL just because you disagree with my opinions means I derail every thread? :ROFLOL: you really need to practice what you preach. This is all Epcot not DHS, so please stop "derailing" this thread.

I am part of the next generation of fans and I dislike the whole Imagination pavillion. SUE ME. That place is garbage! I happen to think Epcot is a decent park with flaws, but which park doesn't have flaws?

An imagination pavillion should be very imaginative. A glass pyramid? Really? Is that supposed to get a "wow" out of me? How about something more dynamic that can last a long time without people brushing it off? Most people do brush it off already. All the times I've been to Epcot Figment always had a constant "No-Wait" period. Even 3 Caballeros had a 10 minute wait! HiStA is a joke of a 3D show and could be so much better.

Just because you disgaree with my opinions doesn't give you the right to imply your opinions are better than mine. And I guess people here don't realize people want new things and new thrills (not throwbacks). Many adults I know disliked Epcot A LOT because it was too much like a classroom than a theme park.

Agreed! But I would like to see the entire inside and the theater and gutted. The must keep Figgy in some form. I wouldn't mind if they took him out of the ride if they did the following.

1. The new ride sticks with the theme of imagination.
2. It's something new and innovative.
3. It is a good ride that people will actually go on.
4. No character insertion unless it a new one.
5. FIGMENT WOULD HAVE TO STAR IN A NEW 3D FILM!

I agree to keep Figment because he has a huge following, but change everything else....

Yea like I said they need to keep Figgy in some form so why not a new 3D film to replace HISTA starting Figment and Dreamfinder.

The question us if you move Figment to the theater what do you do with the ride?

Ideally, I'd like to see a flume ride in Canada.
There was an idea for Brother Bear to take space above the Circle-Vision film as a river raft ride.

Supposedly, the film wasn't good enough for its own ride.

Too bad, since it could make a great cover-upper for the Soarin' building across WS Lagoon.

Screw it forget the character tie in just build a well themed flume or raft ride.

Epcot has two water rides already.
Plus for ideas for the UK, Italy and USA to also have water rides, it's good that there's more than just water rides to behold.

And Japan? A theater attraction, a simulation, a coaster - when are any of these ideas ever going to happen?!?:lol:

Anyone ever try to tape Magic Journeys?
Yep. The first 11 minutes until my battery went flat :(

A remastered version with source audio - and info about the bubble sculpture and plastic triangles (!) - will be part of a new release at Mousebits very soon ;)

 Between now and never. I am hoping more for Africa instead.

Lord knows we need something large in WS.

You mean Africa? It was planned to go right next to Mexico and Norway. There were great plans for it but it was unfortunately scrapped. The oasis concept was unique.

Nope. Africa was supposed to go where the Oasis snackbar is ... that's an expansion pad back there.

It died pretty soon after it was designed, but DAK killed any hopes of it ever coming back in any form.
