A Set of Goofy Observations

Doesn't this completely ruin the whole 100% family-friendly vibe MK has? Maybe I'm odd, but I like how ever person (well, maybe not babies) in the family can ride ever ride there.

No...they can't. Space, Splash, Big Thunder, and Stitch all have height requirements.

MK should be a place where every one should be able to have fun, but everything does not have to be for everyone.

...They can easily keep MUCH of the spirit and look of these attractions AND update, without killing off what originally made the attraction sparkle.

Personally I'd like Muppets Pre-Show to get a film clean, a more perfect synch with the screens, improved audio (surround sound, too, to punctuate some of the jokes on-screen), and some in-room effects such as special lighting when the tap-dancing occurs, etc. One or two brand-new skits from the creators of the Muppets Youtube channel might not be bad, either.

Star Tours just wants some animatronic robot updates, a nice painting, maybe some new eye candy for the loading dock, and a new pre-show video with references from all the movies. But PLEEESE keep the lady with the hair!

EXACTLY. You got it down to the hair.

Krank agrees with you, we said the same exact thing, simultaneously, in the queue.

Right and right.

I paraphrase, but Walt said he wanted a "place" where families could have fun together. Now, if they'd fix child swap so that families could STAY together throughout the queues, everything would be exactly as he wanted it.

Thanks for the report/comments, Goof.

I've enjoyed reading the thread. Agree with much, disagree with some ...

Only really important thing I can say is Monsters is a no-go at Studios (I could add an Al Lutzian qualifier like 'unless something has just changed' but I won't).

TDO decided it wasn't needed. It was killed. Funds went to MK. End of story.

Haven't heard thee Muppets or ST 2.0 queue rumors, but I am fairly certain those are both very, very, very likely. They need to freshen Muppets just a bit as they push the characters this year. And ST is pretty much a given with the new 'adventure' coming.

Oh, and can I ask why you had TWO MK character meals?

 you know what I mean. Those attractions may have a height requirement, but they aren't overly scary like ETAI.

I agree about Alien Encounter. I hate the stitch "attraction" as much as everyone but AE was downright freaky and would have been much better in the Studios. Also, it was depressing if you think about the story behind the ride. Mysterious corporations with dubious malfunctioning technology? This isn't a Ridley Scott film (Alien, Blade Runner), it's the Magic Kingdom.

For now, I think. Like you said, budget is dead, but they do have the plans, and they always have the need/demand.

Can they give the money to ST in the meantime? :lookaroun I would think it needs it at this moment in time...

I figured as much for the recent future, but I still think it'll happen in the next 5-7 years.

Family's decision, although I've always enjoyed Crystal Palace.

As for Cindy's table, I was very, very impressed. Even though it's expensive, they basically give you whatever you want. I got 2 appetizers and 2 desserts.

Certainly a good possibility. The Studios needs another family attraction to better distribute the crowds. Star Tours 2 should help out, but I think another one will truly do the trick.

A Muppets expansion would be better IMO:xmas:
