    Question About Taxis

Wife and I are heading out the first week of December. We had thoughts of renting a car this time as we had some bad experiences last time with the bus service. To and from the parks is good, but when going to another resort (for dinner or lunch) and being redirected through Downtown Disney...

    Southwest Fares - November???

Just as a bit of a follow up, Southwest Ding (TM) has dang (it's a word) for at least the last 5 days with Houston Hobby to Orlando MCO specials each time. Dates are up to October 29 and rates have been averaging about $89. There may yet be good deals for December to be had. I think alot of...

    Airtran or Southwest?

Plus, one of them is associated with this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ValuJet_Flight_592 ...which pushes me even farther towards Southwest.

    Southwest Fares - November???

Fares just released are significantly higher. $151 is the best deal I can get from Houston to Orlando.

Any updates on JII 4 rumors?

The current rumor is that no matter how they do it, 40% of the people here will be bitter and angry about it. And at least 10% will pop up and say how much they loved it the way it was (this time) and that they never should have changed it.

    Southwest Anniversary Specials Today

Today is Southwest's 37th anniversary and Ding has been going off all day. They have $83 from Houston Hobby to MCO for September-October until 1:40pm CST. Might be worth taking a look if you are going down in that time frame.

I have a "crazy" Disney Dining question....

Best of my knowledge, you cannot. You have to have a MYW package OR a DVC package, I believe.

    Southwest Fares - November???

I'm going to have to get a little rough, here. Do you watch the news? Are you at all aware of the world oil market? Have you read any of the news stories about the impending reduction in fleets for air carriers? It's probably not going down anytime soon. Take the $89 tickets, NOW!

Made my 180's today - woot!

Yeah, but I don't eat like a cow, either. Which is why we avoid all the buffets and such. With fine dining you are more likely to get a manageable portion that, when eaten like a reasonable person, should not over-stuff or weigh you down. Also, for the MOST part, we made reservations at non-park...

    candlelight dining packages

We did Le Cellier last year. As I recall, the pricing system was multi-tiered with A, B, and C level restaurants. Obviously, Le Cellier was on the high priced tier ($40ish per person?). We used Disney Dining so we only got hit for one table service credit. I would HIGHLY advise making your ADR...

Made my 180's today - woot!

I like to sit down and actually enjoy my food. I try to limit the amount of junk I eat at home, so obviously I would do so on vacation. Now...I cannot have fine dining at home more than once a month (if that). That's why WDW is a treat. Food is one of the main reasons we go. And as I have been...

    Southwest Fares - November???

I would take the $64 and run if I could get it. We're going December 1, but Airtrans does not fly out of Houston direct to Orlando, yet.

    Question About Renting Points

Ok...new silly question. We are adding the Deluxe Dining Plan as well as park tickets which are paid for upon check-in. Are we able to choose the length of our park tickets or do we have to have them for the length of the entire stay?

    Signature Dining for Lunch

Right, but there is NOT a better signature option for lunch. And we were planning on a later seating (9:00-ish) for supper. We do not eat big breakfasts at Disney so we usually get to lunch around 11:30.

    Signature Dining for Lunch

Right, which is why I will have extra credits to spend. I guess we'll do Brown Derby (which I really like) as lunch on the last day, then.

    Signature Dining for Lunch

Hello. We're going in December and are going with the Deluxe Dining. The plan is to use two credits for one signature dining experience per day. We're doing the V&A so one night is taken. We'll have one signature experience open for lunch. Thing is, there are not many signature dining places...

    Question About Renting Points

Thanks for the info, Mike. They are listed there and will also be sending me the letter from Disney, as well. This is a heckuva deal (leasing a concierge level room at AKV for $580 for 5 days, 4 nights for first week of December). I couldn't even get a moderate for that price. Now I just have to...
